Could Murphy be anymore impressive?

“Being able to play alongside Chris Judd, who’s a Brownlow medallist, will be pretty special I reckon.”

This quote does it for me though. Everyone's excitement around the club must be at an all time high. From the President, CEO, players, members and supporters.

Honestly hope to hear a Brownlow accepatnce speach from Murph in the future.

He is a ripper, no doubt.

Just on Judd, I've been 'trying to keep a lid on', but gee what a coup getting him has been.

2008 will be a hell of an exciting year.

Seems like a genuinely nice bloke, that is a pretty impressive midfield to develop in.

Judd broke Carrazzo's record for the time trial around Princes Park by 20 seconds according to Ten News.

No one disputes that Ben Cousins has more speed than the entire Carlton list, that's why Judd came to Carlton!

Judd had an adductor release 7 weeks ago and is still part of the recovery group. ;)

Judd's training effort pretty much explains why he is the best player in the AFL by a big margin. An extreme talent, but also amazing preparation. :)

Still, he's been doing plently of laps around Princes Park. It is just so impressive how he gets his body ready.

Either that or it shows that our boys havn't been trying hard enough in the past. 20 seconds is massive, someone should at least be able to get close to that

Does anyone know the distance of that time trial around Princes Park? If its around 3km thats a pretty impressive time for a bloke coming back from groin troubles.

The likes of Murphy, Grigg, Benjamin, Gibbs, etc. should copy everything Judd does on the training track, it's the best way for them to improve their endurance and learn to run hard enough to break a tag.

They should all stay out after training and run extra laps like champion runners such as Judd and Bradley used to do. :thumbsu:

I was surprised to hear that Carrazzo held the record, I assumed Jackson and Walker were the best endurance athletes at Carlton.

It was an all time record so I assume it means he beat guys like Craig Bradley... so clearly he is a freak

he actually didn't break the record. Chambers ran 10 minutes 27 second a few years ago.
