Well this is it, the official Staker thread where everything is said in a very praising way and saying what a god of a player he is :D

Ok we dont have to go that far but no brainless trolling will be tolerated (the troll will should think twice-maturity please :)) as in like 'He sucks' and etc, etc unless (yes I will be generous here) you explain why an appropriate way (that changes too mind you).

So this is how it will work, I will put statistics up after every game and whether is was a good game or not (not too much detail) as some time during the week I will try and watch the game again (depending on time and whether it was a good game or not like a flogging  ;)) and do like a report a few days after the game (due to busy schedule next year so I will go out of my way to put something half decent up).

I look forward to doing it and it shall be fun :thumbsu:

It surprises me he is only 23 (turning 24 in '08). Maybe it's his look or something but I thought he would be about 26-27.

Definitely Staker, Graham doesn't have the leg speed to go through the middle

As in been the scapegoat? The critics might try but they will be embarrassed for doing so once he carves up on the field :)

As in he will do the unrewarded work in blocking, sheparding, firing out the handball to Priddis. :)

Apparently played shit, good, alright, ok, bad, 'looking out of place' to 'will do better in time' in the NAB cup round 1 against Freo. Which on it more correct? I shall evaluate that sometime soon I guess, but am in no big rush as wait its only the NAB cup, as if thats a indicator of anything good

Showed good signs, but wasn't dominant. However the same can be said of almost the entire side that night, so no biggy.

As its only the NAB cup I just say it short and sweet, did managed to see the game on terrible footage but nether less I saw it.

NAB Cup round 1: West Coast v Freo 'the 1400 more game experienced team'= a lose but by not much, actually more appropriate, not as much as expected.

Staker wasnt that bad in this game, was average not spectacular but not like a sinking ship either. Its the first time here in the middle properly and because not many were playing that much better and its a NAB cup (let me remind you again) he cant be expected to do a Chris Judd and kill the opposition straight away. Cant take this seriously this game but with more time I can see him shinning and actually doing quiet well. However, should stay away from the ruck, really.

Ok thats it :)

Round 1: West Coast v Brisbane

Might as well get this out of the way (as there not too much to say) not entirely the best game to say the least, was expecting way more but hey its the start of the season so will wait before getting annoyed.....at least he kicked the sealing goal
and disposal effectiveness was fairly great:thumbsu: (but then he only had 7, however what about his opponent aye?!) Bones, Priddy & Cox had higher effectiveness with around 3X more disposals  now thats good but totally irrelevent to this really. Anyhow theres next week & the first week is always just a warm up. Also cant forget the team won.

So for the overwhelming stats (yes prepare to be dazzled):

Disposals: 7 Effectiveness: 86%
Handballs: 4 Kicks: 3
Marks: 1 Tackles: 3
Goals: 1 Behinds: 0
Free's for: 1 Free's against: 1

Can honestly say they will improve. In overall stats only LeCras was worse (what?!), but Hunter, Graham and Glass cant say they were better even if Stats say otherwise.

He did do a good job on Brennan so there, just wanted him to play midfield more. That will come people.

Roll onto Adelaide (with hopefully a better game).

I hope that at some stage this year, Staker actually gets to play 5 games in a row in the same position. Preferably in the centre circle. I think he showed something there in the WGAFJC Cup/Challenge.

True that, he's never been in the same position game after game which would be a major factor why hes never been consistent enough. I would most likely to see him have an extended run in the midfield area just too see how he'll go.

Round 2: West Coast v Adelaide->Crows by 76points (:mad:)

To sum it up a terrible flogging by our bitches, obviously the mistreating West Coast has given Adelaide resulting in this ugly result, they really did bite back hard! Most players were terrible and Staker was somewhere in between that, he wasn't atrocious but at the same time was definitely not a standout, in others average. Did a bit here and there but overall cant really keep at this level, needs to step up another level at least and no better time than against the losers down the road Freo next week.
With it only been round 2 and with most players been insipid there still some leniency to him, but really from now really needs to lift more. Anyway don't want to dwell on and get into to much detail from this game as it really wasn't a good indicator.

Meaningful Stats (of more than 0):

D: 14 (3 contested, 11 uncontested)
Eff%: 93
H: 10

G: 1

I have been a Staker supporter ever since he arrived. However, this is the BIG year when he will have to step up to another level if he is to continue to get a game. He has held his place to date mostly based on his promise for the future; well Stake's your future is NOW ! The Eagles have been carrying 1 - 2 talls too many in these past couple of games (R1 & R2) and that makes them look slow and an easy target. Our basic setup has to return to having just Lynch and Hansen as forward talls and more agile ground speed. Hopefully McKinley will replace Masten and Rosa will replace either Staker or Graham. If Kennedy comes in, then both Staker & Graham will have to go back to the WAFL for a while. A good spell in WAFL would do wonders for the confidence of both of these guys anyway. Nicoski is the third worry. All three seem to have been playing from memory for some time. Hopefully the Eagles can take out their frustrations on the dorkers this weekend. They'll get beaten easily if they name a similar structure to last weeks side because it lacks 'real balance'. Neil Craig has found out what that means; I hope our guys can do the same.

Didnt realise I haven't done last weeks

Round 3: West Coast v Fremantle- Freo by 14pts

From what I can remember, was right up there as one of the top 5 players, very solid in the back line continuing on from previous rounds. Thats really all, hopefully will keep up the form and get even better, though *spoiler* didn't get to show much in the next round.

Stats:

D: 22 (6 contested)
Eff%: 77
H: 11
K: 11
G: 1
M: 10 (1 contested)
T: 1
FA: 5
I50: 3

Round 4: West Coast v Syndey- Swans by 62pts

What can be said? Dirty dog act by Barry "try hard F&^%wit thug" Hall king hits Staker in the 1st Quarter. Low act but karma bites him hard on the wrist, Staker didnt play any part of the game after that but at various times was running up and down the boundary line which is good.

Stats (real big this week, thanks Boofy Hall :thumbsd:):

D: 3 (1 contested)
Eff%: 67
K: 3
M: 2 (all uncontested)
FF: 1
I50: 1
