still a very funny movie nearly 27 years after it was made

stg hulka just cracks me up as well as john candy and bill murray

and sean young was very rootable in the movie

This was the one where they were in the army?

The First half of this film was quite funny but then it just died in the second half.

The second half blew big time.

yeah when they get the tank thing it all goes to shit. Love the sound Hulka makes whens he just been blown up.GEHHH GEHHH!

Very good movie.I watched some of it on TV1 last night,although I have the DVD.
Anyone else have the DVD and think the extra bits added in don't make it as good as the TV version ?

I didn't realise that Stripes was one of Warren Oates [Sgt Hulka] last roles.He died in 1982,the year after Stripes was released.

Saw it at the movies when it came out. Gold. Bill Murray is an all time comedy great.

Agreed. Extra scenes in the DVD release are quite lame. :(

Wish it had an option to watch the theatrical version instead of the extended cut.

Lost count of how many times I have seen this movie. Still very funny after all of these years.

Reckon I've seen this movie at least 20 times - classic American comedy.

Lighten up Francis. Brilliant! Some great titties in the shower scene too - I wish I was a lufer.

Top quality first half but yeah when they get the Armoured Winnebago, it kinda gets a bit too silly, if that is possible. :D
