This thread is just meant to be a bit of fun, to see who can come closest to predicting Tait's bowling figures, or Roger's run tally in the Perth test match.

Since it's my idea, I should kick it off.

Rogers 34

Game called off by the Indians because Billy Bowden gave one of their untouchable princes out LBW...and as has been proven beyond a shadow of doubt the Indians cant take an umpires decision. :D

I think that would be good for Rogers if that were to happen, experiences what it's like to succeed at the highest level but also to fail. I'd say it'd help him in the future and would lift a massive burden off his shoulders.

We would simply say if Brett Lee was allowed so many chances before he came good then Tait should be allowed the same thing.

India Bat first - all out for 141

Tait 2/62

As India are bowled out late with just 5 balls to remain in the day, Ponting decides to just send in Lee and Clarke as night watchmen. Australia go onto make 0/326 dec

In Indias second Innings they are all out for 84, meaning Australia win by an Innings and 180 odd runs

Tait 3/29

Chris Rogers DNB

Good to see you're not denying Lee had a ridiculous amount of chances at Test level before he (Finally) lived up to expectation.

FWIW, Tait 1st innings 8/15, 2nd innings 9/21

Rogers.. who cares, will be dropped as soon as Hayden is fit, even if he makes 500.

I don't agree with you. Lee, without being sensational, hasn't been a bad bowler and has always deserved his place in the Australian test side. There was really only 2 years that caused his average to balloon out, plus a serious injury.

Personally wouldn't have been fussed if either Hussey or Rogers was picked.

It was more of a comment about a petulant, childish post

Is that a trick question, or do you honestly know nothing about him?

He definitely hasn't always deserved his spot in the side. He deserves it now, but don't pretend that he hasn't had an extremely favourable run with the selectors. He actually has been a bad bowler.

l don't think the aussie side can carry a bowler like tait yes he had a bad game and he will get another crack at it,but with no warne and mc Garth any more the bowling is not as strong and s Clark is a good pick up and lee is standing to step up but you cant expect these 2 to get all the wickets l dont think they can carry a bowler but they could carry a batsman
