Classy.

Who has the rights to 10 Things I Hate About You? That'll surely get a run in the next few weeks.

I pretty sure 7 has the rights.

Will they show Ned Kelly as well?

Its not necessarily a bad thing, Im sure all his fans will want to see his movies, after all he was a great actor.

I think one of the Foxtel movie channels had a Ledger marathon last night,so it's not as though ch10 are first with it.No doubt they'll have Angela Bishop hosting and making it sound like her and Heath were best buddies.

would they have really aired the movie if heath ledger hadn't of died? nope. i guess they will tell you that it is in memory of heath, but i don't think they will be complaining of the extra $$$ they are going to get out of it.

imagine if the unthinkable happened to adam sandler, billy madison and happy gilmore are currently playing about 9 times a year now, as it is.
and what if a cast member of friends, seinfeld or mash passed away, there would be nothing else on channel 10, not even the news.

Would you post this if Heath hadn't have died? No. Perhaps you are trying to cash in on his death and gain notoriety?

Lets be honest. They are a business, they are in the business of making money. Playing the movies will not offend anyone. Yes they'll make money, but it would be foolish not to do it, and whilst money would be the main reason, it will be good for the fans to be able to watch them.

Does Gun Barrel Straight get paid money on the number of views his posts get?

I suppose if they we really having a tribute to heath they'd give people a chance to see some of his less mainstream movies like Monster's Ball, Four Feathers, The Order, etc.

But either way, no harm no foul

Might be a bit touchy playing Monster's ball... he shoots himself in the head.

I dont have a problem with networks doing this stuff. They do it all the time.

I seriously doubt that anyone is going to watch these films only because the guy is dead. I might watch A Knight's Tale because it was a silly fun movie (as it was while he was alive) and I definitely won't watch The Patriot because the subject matter has no appeal for me. Just as I would have a week ago.

It wouldn't be bad if Two Hands made an appearance in the next few weeks.

I'm pretty sure Nein have the rights to it.

In fairness to Channel 10, they didn't milk the sad passing of Bleeding Gums Murphy on The Simpsons all that badly...

I'll be watching. I quite like both movies. God I hate Jason Isaccs character in The Patriot.

Maybe not, but how could you forget the Maude Flanders movie marathon that 10 screened only a day or two after her untimely demise?

Gotta feel for SBS though, having to screen those Kenny marathons every week after an episode of South-Park.

Can never underestimate the general public when it comes to TV.
