I know there are a few Grid Iron fans out there, its not completely my cup of tea when you compare it to our own game but the Super Bowl (New England vs New York in Arizona) was worth a watch even if you are just watching for the commercials.

Have a look here at all the commercials - http://www.myspace.com/superbowlads

If you were watching for the half time entertainment, well that was enough to put you to sleep - unless you are big Tom Petty fans - they could have at least brought Pamela Anderson down from the stands to liven up the act ala Janet Jackson from a few years back, oh well.

As far as the game is concerned, for me it was a bit boring for the first 3 quarters (very defensive) but it all opened up in the last, two of the games four touchdowns came in the last two and a half minutes, the last of those four goals happening with just thirty seconds to go - a win to New York.

It's amazing that 60 minutes of actual playing time can stretch out to so many hours.

As a Packers fan I'm happy enough to see New York win. Is it just me or does anyone else experience a certain amount of schadenfreude to see the Pats lose in the last thirty seconds having gone undefeated right through the season.

And I was able to find someone to use the choke tag on today, hahaha! :D

Opinion of a neutral observer: From the start of the season the Pats went for what has been achieved only once before in history - the perfect season. Not resting players, running up the score and basically giving the middle finger to the rest of the competition. Good on them I say for having the guts to go for the glory season and coming so close.

For anyone interested Foxtel will be screening a replay on Wednesday at 1430 and again at 2330. Running time is two hours which should eliminate most of the crud.

I hope the Port boys were watching it.

I can't watch it, much as I like the game. All the time-outs, ad breaks etc drive me insane. Hope AFL never goes down that track.
