I really don't think this is a good idea... if we're going to start throwing out ideas like that, why don't we use Arden St.

Or better yet, isn't the members stand still up at the cemetery that is Waverley Park... why don't we play right in front of it. Fill the stand, we still have a few more attending than we would have had at Carrara. Actually, it would be pretty sweet if the rest of the perimeter was surrounded by allowable car access, like junior football grounds.

I felt like posting this after going there for the intraclub game last week.

Such a huge stadium going to waste, and it really isn't in that bad a shape.

Probably something that should be looked at closely I think.

exactly.

plus we could kick carlton out

And infringe on Collingwood's aspirations of being the Manchester United of the AFL???

BTW, bad loss this morning bushranger. Knowing the Gooners luck, we'll play a draw tomorrow against Blackburn, or <shudder>, lose.

I'd like to hear what giantroo has to say on the matter.

If Carlton can't make a dime out of it I cannot see how we can.

What is the capacity, btw.

And would it be possible to go halvies with Vodafone or Mazda and take over naming rights?

(Edit. I'm aware of how silly an idea this is... hence my first use of the word 'halvies' in about 15 years).

where good folk who cannot afford a season ticket miss out on the oppurtunity to purchase a match day ticket. :thumbsd: also this idea controls/minimizes the attendance number of the away supporters, probably not a good idea for us in anycase

Yeah, if you are including the surrounding parks, the middle strip of Royal Parade and half of the cemetery.

A well run and well supported North Melbourne is perfect for Telstra Dome provided a half decent stadium deal is provided.

I think if we win tomorrow, yes, it will be hard for Man U. However, we have some very dangerous games coming up.

C. Ronaldo is quite possibly the finest player to strap on the boots and I would give my right nut to have him at Arsenal (selfish bastard will only deal in cash though:mad:). I don't think the issue is a breakdown if Rooney isn't on the pitch, especially when you have Saha or Tevez, among others, that can step up to the plate.

It is incredible though that the two get on so well after the infamous world cup 'groin-grinding' the two came to blows over (that was an overtly sexual comment, even I must admit).

I whistle, and along he comes.

I don't doubt us, champ. I've tipped a 4-0 whitewash, meself.

Time to find the Arsenal thread in the Roo Lounge, GR... off you pop. I'm too tired to look:D

There was an article on the Arsenal website a while back that we were inches away from having Ronaldo on our team but Manure's contract with Lisbon didn't allow us to take him because Manure have first choice.

Stuff Ronaldo, great player he is but the Gunners can and will do it without him! Adebayor is our barometer, give him the ball and watch his magic!

Obviously. I'm just saying I would like him at the club.

However, I believe that where Ronaldo is now, Cesc will have passed him in a couple of years.

Judge, jury and executioner in one there, Lidge.

Especially seeing as how everything you post is of such a high standard:rolleyes:
