In a move to prevent a pending case being biased by the content of this new Australian Drama, a Victorian judge has ordered that the show not screen in Victoria. It is unknown whether it will grace Victorian screens ever.

I am pretty unhappy at this, although I can fully understand why it has been done. I was actually looking forward to this show and it is a pity as it is a Victorian story that many Victorians would be interested in.

What are other peoples thoughts....

Good because they shouldn't be showing this until after the investigation is over and done with.
There is an police investigation still going on about the underworld and the gangland killings.

It will be on torrents no doubt within an hour of it being shown anywhere else though, so those who want to see will be able to find it somewhere in cyberspace

If it's going to be prejudicial to a trial that is yet to be held in this state, then the only thing that could have been done was to pull it from the idiot box schedules in Victoria.

A precedent was set several years ago for this in NSW with pulling of a program on the corruption in the police force up there (Roger Rogerson anyone?) - think it was called The Thin Blue Line? - so you could barely expect the Victorian Supreme Court to back down on this one.

Living on the GC has its advantages, can't wait for this show.
One of my mates who used to work for the GC casino used to have to take most of these guys out for lunches and dinners etc due to them being big punters.

I forgot about that completely. Top memory!

I confess - my memory ain't that flash - I heard it mentioned on the radio a few days ago.

It is true though - the NSW Supreme Court set that precedent when they banned that show from being screened in NSW. The Victorian Supreme Court certainly wasn't obligated to follow the precedent, but obviously chose to, as they felt that it could be prejudicial to an upcoming court case.

Makes sense, but it sucks living in Victoria atm as Ch 9 have been ramping up this show for the last couple of months.

I've only seen the first two, but if I was the ghost of Jason Moran I'd be pretty happy with how i was portrayed. He's made out to be savvy, cool, big with the ladies etc etc.

If i was Carl Williams on the other hand....the guy literally plays him as being the stupidest, lamest guy in Australia. He's almost like 'Nudge' off Hey Dad. That's not an exageration. Perhaps he hardens up as the episodes progress.

Anyway, the show is exactly what you'd expect, which will make some people happy, and others roll their eyes.

No doubt about it, the Morans are portrayed as the better of two evils. They certainly make Williams out to be a complete toss and a heartless greedy crim.
