View Full Version : Travel time from AAMI to Airport

I'm looking to book some cheap flights for Round 22 when the Bulldogs play the Crows.

The game is on a Saturday, and starts at 3.40pm.

The flight home leaves that night at 8.15pm, but with Tiger airways, you need to check in 45 minutes before departure, so 7.30pm.

Assuming the game finishes at 6.15pm, will there be enough time to get a taxi from AAMI to the Airport.

Thanks

Shouldn't make it too much more than 30 tho.

Takes me 40 minutes to get home and I live on the other side of Radelaide.

If the game finishes at 6.15 it could take you up to 15 minutes to get out and find a taxi. Taxi shouldn't take more than 30-40 mins to the airport in the worst peak footy traffic.

You have plenty of time. :thumbsu:

Also, they'll be bluffing with the check in times. I've caught flights straight after games a couple of times and the airport is usually dead. More cleaning staff than passengers when I check in.

But who were you flying with.

The reason for the strict check in times with Tiger is because the staff that check you in, are also the staff that take your tickets at the departure gate.

They need to finish there job at check in and get to the departure gate in time.

Go to the Adelaide Metro site and look for J7.

I'm pretty sure that's a West Lakes - Airport bus link.

I had a look at the site, the J7 bus only operates Monday to Friday.

Bugger.

Well then there's the J1/2/3 from the Airport to the city and then the Footy Express bus then. They run all week long.
