Apparently CFC put out a media release to nip this in the bud but it is hardly newsworthy and certainly doesn't warrant space on a highbrow, sophisticated sports forum such as this.

easy mistake to make if he was only doing 60...sounds like it would be a 60 zone except between 2:30 and 4:00...i've done the same without realising it before

Had me worried for a sec. Thought he was in some serious trouble again!

Gotta be careful of those school zones, have gone over the limit myself without realising the time.

What hasn't been mentioned yet was the Lolly-pop Lady Fev had in a headlock. Thankfully he let her go before he turned the corner.

I don't know how reliable my source is on this matter, prob not so good, but i heard he was caught at 54km. Hardly a major offence! Just a bit dumb.

Would think most people on this board, bar Eddybettsisachamp and Walshy:p have driven a few k's over the limit before, and you can see how a bloke like Fev could miss the change from 60 to 40! Was prob to busy lookin at himself in the rear view:D

Slow news day.

The club said Fevola was keen to ensure that his error in judgment could be used to reinforce "the message of road safety in the community".

Angling for a TAC sponsorship?

Apparently Judd has been caught crossing a road AGAINST the lights..........the club will hold a press conference at Telstra Dome tonight.:thumbsu:

I don't know how you people are able to make light of this very serious situation.

Fev has and obviously always will continue to bring the game into disrepute as long as he is allowed to remain on an AFL list.

This is just as bad, if not worse than being addicted to illicit drugs and having close ties with known criminals!

For the sake of the children who look up to professional athletes as role models the AFL Commission should de-register him immediately and then follow up by demanding Richard Pratt step down as President!

just about the biggest non-issure ever! seriously, he was going 20 k's over the speed limit, who gives a shit.

I dont care about the "oh but it was a school zone" nonsense. Some of the school zones that they expect you to travel 40 through is total bollox. I've gone through these zones at 60 many times and not once was i endangering small children.

Our sporting media arer the biggest load of fuddy duddies you will ever meet. Absolute joke.:thumbsd:

Its astounding, its 20 k's over. For christ sake, most blokes will travel 20k's over the limit numerous times a week, but we dont all make the news.

They have nothing better to write about so they beat up some rubbish. The wosrt part is, theres people out there who think its a serious issue. Get a life, get a clue, get F'd.

...interesting!

Perhaps with the combination of crook presidents over our time, we should get our punishment rolled into one and just fold the club? Though I would love to see us rock up to round one sacking our full forward and president! I'm sure if you look hard enough we could sack Judd because of our uneven trade to West Coast! KB would back that up! And lets not start on us cheating to get Kruezer! We should have to give them both over to Richmond, cos they were in the box seat!

In fact strip us of the 95 flag! Players accepted money above the salary cap!! Its against the rules!!

But on that logic lets just get rid of the AFL! every club stretches the mark! Montmorency football club has always had a good reputation for setting sporting examples, you can watch them for free every week! now thats good value...How bout we just change this to the Monty board just to appear to have a higher moral standard than the rest of the community!!

Gunning the Canning Hwy?
Nope around Lake Joondalup avoiding Wanneroo Rd in the morning. Meanwhile there was a holdup at the bank 20m away, 3 houses in walking distance being broken into, and a murder at a caravan park on the same road was occuring. But I will cop that fine. Amazed it was not on Underbelly last night as serious crime! Tnaks Kojak with the Kodak!

Innocent mistake, one many people have made and havn't had themselves published in the paper (unless they were going over the usual speed limit outside of the hours of 2:30pm and 4:00pm). Says in the article he was clocked at 60km/h at 2:50pm, not too far into the start of the 40km/h period.

In an official statement released today, the club said: "While Brendan was unaware that the reduced limit applied on that particular stretch of road during that time of day (approximately 2.50pm), he is nonetheless remorseful for his actions".

I was very pleased to read this...
Brendan contacted the club within an hour of being intercepted by police.

Just shows that he is aware he did the wrong thing and is smart enough to do the right thing. Good on him:thumbsu:.

Yesterday he returned a Coles trolley into a Safeway trolley bay.

He is out of control. A definite lack of discipline at the club. I just hope he uses the right fork on the occasions when Richard Pratt has him over for dinner at Raheen. The last thing the club needs is for Fev to use the dessert fork to eat his main course. This sort of scandal could be the death knell for the club.

This is what shits me about our media.

Fev does the right thing by owning up after what is a mistake that I'm sure most of us have made at some point (maybe not being caught, but we have all done 60 in a 40 zone being unaware).........and they drag this up.

But police said they have no record of the offence and have been unable to pin-point who the officer was who pulled Fevola over.
Fevola's license has been suspended in the past for having too many demerit points.
He was accused of jeopardising the International Rules seried with Ireland when he got into a bar room brawl with an Irish barman two years ago, and has hit headlines for reportedly being unfaithful to wife Alex.

Sorry, but that's pathetic journalism.

This should be in The Australian.........Headline..........

Unfaithful Brawler Speeds

The "Price Fixers" club was again in trouble yesterday when "The Unfaithful Brawler" was caught endangering the lives of our children yesterday.
The Unfaithful brawler has not denied drug use at the time and has not denied that he was trying to run down children and little old ladies.

The Australin believes that The Unfaithful Brawler was not driving a Hyundi, leading to speculation that the so-called mega sponsorship was all a scam and that in fact the club is all a front for a Chinese football jumper manufacturer.
The Price Fixer is yet to deny these damning allegations.......
