why are there so many people on this site writing carey off when they havent played a game yet.

Well that's because all of the good players go to other schools.
Carey might improve considerably on last years performance - however that would just mean they will be competitive with the bottom 4 sides. They will be flogged by the likes of Haileybury, Xavier and Caulfield...
