If you were really committed to the cause BJ you would have scheduled you holidays around the footy like me!*

*Note: This happened completely by accident.

I think its for an earlier finished so you buggers can get to work the next day.

Otherwise nobody could go.

Nah, it's Easter Thursday night, there is a double header on so they have an early game and a late game.

I just can't believe the dopey vaginas refused to schedule a game on the Friday.

Fortunately I won't be in Victoria for Easter this year, so I'll be able to buy beers at any time of the day improving my Shit Friday into Better Because I'm Half-Pissed Friday.

The AFL had the brainwave of a double-header start on Thursday and then 7 decided it wanted to do both so the AFL scheduled it so they followed each other and that's the best time they could think of.

That's how I read it, pretty sloppy.

The answer is simple.
TV.
Speaking of which, what time is on TV? Is it going to be delayed?

your answer is spot on tugg:

Thursday night:

C7
Carlton vs. Richmond 6:10 pm (second last v last -> curtain raiser)

C10
Port Adelaide vs. Geelong 8:45 pm (second v premiers -> prime time main event)

C7 will probably go with it delayed after the news and TT. Which makes it wall to wall footy on the box from 7 pm onwards. ;)

wonder if the crowd size will be smaller due to the early start forcing people to leave work at least 2 hours early

Thoughts of fellatio* did enter my mind but I let it go.

But then again, I think we all think of fellatio, on average, once every 15.3 seconds:eek::p

*Note: As an aside, this game is being played on Steak and BJ day.

Well said SKOULIKI. I get a little hard just thinking about watching the Tiges live and having an ale, (Even if it is watered down urine!!!) and kicking the living crap out of the Blues!!!!

Bring it on!!!!

I don't give a shit what time it starts, booked my ADO on the day the fixture came out. I am thinking hit the cricketers at about 1 for a few beers and a parma, the move on to the Royal at about 3.30 to really begin the festivities. Then stroll over to the Shrine at about 5.30 and start abusing the shit out of the Blues and roaring for the Tigers.

Go easy Cogga the poor kid has a couple of disadvantages, firstly they follow Carlton and secondly their location is listed as Adelaide.

I would also say his name only applies when he gets into the showers after the game!

Yeah all right, my spleen has been officially vented above and now I can get excited.

They're not going to play the game on free-to-air up here, so hopefully Foxtel will sneak it on with a short delay. Otherwise I'll have to wait for the replay on Friday (hey - it'll be like having a game actually PLAYED on Friday!).

I like the structure of the double-header though. Always watch the Tigers and am almost interested to see if Port can better their GF showing.
