From a Geelong perspective, what are the thoughts about this guy?? He is one that I would have liked the Roos to draft & am just interested in what the thoughts are down Geelong way...

Charlie Gardiner is another of Geelong's good young kids who showed some good signs when he was in the senior team before getting injured.
I'd expect him to be one to watch in the next couple of seasons as he develops.

Charlie is a long way off.
He has all the talent in the world but still lacks co-ordination.
His VFL form has been up and down, but after a purple patch he managed to get a couple of senior games throughout our long winning streak.
He has done more then i expected, but there is plenty of scope for improvement.
IMHO he will take two seasons to make it at AFL level, when he does he will be a top quality marking half forward.
From the Cat point of view, I think he's got a bright future down here. For a start he has a great, positive attitude and is always in there patting teamates on the back.
In his handful of senior games he kicked a good goal against Sydney when we needed it and set up some other good plays.
Not sure where else he can play, other than in the forward line, having only seem him play a few games.
Hopefully somebody else out there who's seen more VFL games can help me ;o)

Charlie looks like he will be a player to look out for in years to come as he adjusts to the top level of competition.
His form in the V.F.L. team has been fairly good and he was rewarded with senior games becasue of it.
His future is very bright.

I'd expect Charlie to take a few seasons to really make his mark. He is still very immature, body wise and once he fills out, puts on a bit of weight he could be a very good player. He has nice skills and is versatile. Early impressions see him as a forward/midfielder, but that could change depending on the plans the club have for him.

Surprised me, did Charlie play in the VFL last week ? (I thought he was still injured).

I've never seen Charlie go back, in the VFL (only seen two games) or the TAC Cup.
Have you seen him in defence this season? And if so, how did he go?

I've seen a few VFL games & he played a bit of halfback earlier in the year.
