Beau was 'Our Man' in 2007 will be 'Our Man' again in 2008 - come what may, knee injury or not.
I'm sure that come what may, his persistence and hard work will eventually pay off and I hope i'm there to see it.
I cant even imagine what would be going through the kids head. Worked his whole life to get within inches of our team, then have it wrenched away
Hope like hell its not as bad as what we think.
We're all praying for some good news. Was really looking forward to him debuting this season
All the best, Beau

I think he was a certainty for rounds 1 - 3 and I could have seen him having 10 to 15 games this year!
He did show a bit of talent and fight in the three games.
Lets hope he can come back, I am sure he can with family and club support.
My thoughts and prayers are with Number 17.
Good luck Musto.

I think you'd be hard pressed to find a supporter from any club not wishing him the best of luck. Was shattered to hear he'd gone down with a knee injury and I really hope it's not another reco. Best of luck to him.
Apparently was his 21st birthday on saturday too.. not the way you want to remember the day, lets hope he has a speedy recovery and gets back to his best in no time!

you just gotta feel for the guy.
hopefully he can keep his spirits up and see that he could become one of the most amazing comebacks, fought through hard work and determination, culminating in a place in the 2009/10 hawthorn premiership team....now that would be sweet and deserving.

Torn his ACL graft.
He'll be out indefinitely

worst case secenario just confirmed.
Torn the graft and will require full ACL reconstruction. :(
Another year on the sideline, yet we will retain the faith. Will make Beau's debut that much better.
Beau, don't spend all your sponsorship money on chocolates! ;)
Best wishes.

If there's anything good to come out of this, at least it was in the Pre-Season rather than mid-way through the season.
At least now he has the whole year to recover, I guess and could possibly even play a game towards the end of next year ...
We're all rooting for you on BF, Beau. :thumbsu:

Beau, if you're reading this, do not give up hope. You have everything you need to play at the top level. Keep focused, and work your arse off. There is a place for you in this team !

It will be interesting to see if we go down the Malceski route with his surgery.
When does Beau come out of contract? Not that Hawthorn will delist him, but I wouldnt be surprised if they opt to delist, and put him on a rookie list, if thats possible.

Out of contract at the end of next yr Roughie, hopefully by that stage though he will be tearing teams a new one and the only option will be to offer him a 3 yr deal.

Oh thats he good, by then the club will have a clear indication on how he is recovering from his injury. He would have some games under his belt by then also.

Hawks should give him the rubber band treatment like Malceski at the Swans - mate once its broke its broke & 3 times... Give the rubber band treatment ago like the sydney swans are - nothing to lose now for the young fella

Would not be suprised if his contract is extended in the coming weeks. Max got an extension after his knee. It is a sign of commitment by the club to help the player feel supported, also eases financial worries. This would be a wise move as Beau would only be on base payments. :thumbsu:

I'm sure it would be given due consideration, but I am not sure a synthetic ligament is proven to be a better option.

Yeah good point, and I would love to see that happen but the bloke still has 2more years, is an extension really needed?

Was not aware that he still has 2 years. :o
I'm sure the club will do something to publicly support him though.

From what I understand, the problem with the synthetic procedure is still the quality of the take between the polyester and the biological material. I'd have thought that having had 2 previous ops, and in all honesty the next one will probably be his last chance, they wouldn't go for something that is still not common practice. It would be a terrible shame to see his career ended having been used as a guinea pig.

thats exactly right. i think that was Malcheski's first ACL, so the procedure may also be more complicated since Beau has already has 2 operations done.
Wish him all the best, deserves a premiership medal.

Just feel for the guy. Every time he gets close to his dream it gets sent a million kilometres further away.
Keep at it though Beau, the fans on this site all believe in you.

Best of luck to Beau. You don't wish this sort of shabby treatment on any player. I really hope he can recover and get out on the field for you guys.

Yeah, totally shocked at the bad fortune Beau has been dealt with over the past three years.
Fortunately he is an ace bloke who has the character to deal with this, and I guess thats why he is at the Mighty Hawks.
To echo other posts "hang in there tough Beau. We all believe in you and want you playing"
You're the Man!!!
Very concise, but spot on.
A looot of thought went into my post, I'm glad it touched somebody!
