"Last Regular bus departs 30 minutes after siren. Extra bus departs AAMI Stadium ONE HOUR after final siren.
Buses depart from the Crows Shed TWO HOURS after the conclusion of Crows matches."

That's for the City service, though. Selected services to the suburbs will also do this one or two hours after final siren. Have a look at the timetable first!

NICE:D:thumbsu:

I'll be driving, which is ok because there is a place we park every week.

Unfortunately it means driving through Port Adelaide.

Shorter line at KFC Port Adelaide than West Lakes. :thumbsu: Wear your Crows guernsey with pride through the Port. The place looks like a shanty town :D

I will be using the Crows Express this year, its free and finally they have realised that by having buses leaving later than 20 minutes after the siren that more people will use it, sometimes it takes 10 minutes or more just for the Crows to leave the field after they win let alone then trying to get from the southern end of the field to the bus stops.

I think by this that more people will use it once they know that it is now different.

Why oh why do they have so that you don't get to the ground until just over 30 minutes before game time. By the time you get in and grab your seat it'll be into the first quarter.

Until they have services that arrive at least 90-120 minutes before game time I still will not be using the service

Many things you have to take into account though mate. If you're just going down there to watch the footy then straight home with no alcohol then that's fine. But many, MANY of us drink at the game, go out afterwards etc so a bus is far more easier. :thumbsu:

What on Earth do you need to be there that early for?!?!?! Thats a lot of footy to play before the game starts!

And I see where you are coming from fryingpan, a valid point. I just dont think that ticket prices should be increased to help fund it, when a lot of people I have spoken to wont use it even if it is a free service with a game day ticket.

Maybe not 120 minutes but I like to get there 60-90 minutes before the game. Footy, beers, barbies, Crows shed, nice and relaxing :thumbsu:

Very true also.

Bruce might be a SANFL member you need to get there that early to get a decent seat. Thankfully I am a season ticket holder, I couldnt ever go back to the bad old days of getting to the football three hours early to get a decent seat :thumbsd: The stupidest move by the members ever to vote against having reserved seats.

Nah not an SANFL member (but that is a valid reason for earlier FE buses), but I don't mind a bite to eat and a browse around West Lakes before heading over for the game.

I'm also one of those early-bird type that like to get to the ground as the gates open, then peruse through the Record in my seat and watch the ground fill up (though I'll see that from a completely different perspective this season), and so getting to the ground 30 minutes before the game just doesn't cut it for me.

Seeing as we now have buses leaving 30, 60 and 120 minutes after the game I can see why they can't do the same pre-game (but then getting Torrens Transit to do something that's customer based is another thing).

At least the $2 is going towards something else besides Whicker's and Basheer's retirement funds. Its funny because the tickets go up every year, but noone says anything but when they specify where $2 of the money is going to fund a free bus service people are complaining about it. Even if I didnt use the bus service I still think its a great idea to do that. Its helps people that have financial difficulties in making attending the football more affordable, it also encourages more people to use it which in turn does it's small part to help the enviornment by lessening the amount of cars being driven tot he football. Also by encourage people to use it will help to reduce traffic congestion for those that choose to drive to the football.

What would you rather spend $2 to go towards something that will be of use to people or for the $2 to go into the coffers at the SANFL to never be seen again.

As far as I am aware it isn't on them, it is on the season tickets only.

I think it is just a charge on the memberships, it's a great idea I think.

WTF are you on about??

The first buses from most locations will get you to the ground at least 90 minutes before the start. Th first bus from the city would have had you there at 1640... 130 minutes before gametime.

The latest first/only bus arrives into AAMI(for the 1850 game tonight) at 1805, thats still 45 minutes. Normal match, with most having prepaid tickets, thats ample time to walk straight in.

Excellent service, I love speeding past all the cars on the dedicated bus lane, then shooting straight up the O-Bahn home :thumbsu:
