Mr Sutherland, I agree with what you say, but I question your timing. Waiting until the entire series is over to make a complaint is simply a case of too little too late. You've allowed to BCCI and Harbhajan Singh to make fools of Australian cricket and you only have yourselves to blame for his absurd behaviour this summer.

Cricket Australia has taken objection to Harbhajan Singh's recent outburst (http://content-aus.cricinfo.com/cbs/content/story/341373.html), when he labelled the Australian team "arrogant", called Matthew Hayden a "big liar" and said Adam Gilchrist was "not a saint". The remarks, which Harbhajan later denied saying,

Huge surprise, **** Singh is a gutless wanker; if you're going to behave like he does, at least have the balls to stand behind your words.

And I agree with you AdelaideHawk - it's too little, too late. A token gesture now that the Series is over by a Board trying to regain the respect and trust of it's players and public.

Absolutely weak.

Imagine the outrage if Symonds called Dhoni a big liar and slurred Tendulkars character.

Ummm I don't think you understand why James is doing this now instead of during the tour.
He is doing this now just to let EVERYONE know that that behaviour of everyone during the tests and ODI series against India WILL NOT happen again.

Sounds like you really need to ease up as well. That's me being honest. Here you are pointing the finger at Singh and india when they weren't the only ones at fault.

It would have been better if the whingers had gone home after the Sydney test

Shows how badly run the organisation is, too gutless to man up and support the players playing for their country and only react once India have officially left :thumbsd:

I bet that something will happen. That something might be from India simply not making comments and having a positive attitude.

Which was not great for the morale of the team

I got the feeling that the players were not enjoying the cricket anymore after the Sydney Test and played accordingly

Harbhajan has been told to shut up!

http://content-www.cricinfo.com/baggygreen/content/story/341756.html
The Indian board has gagged Harbhajan Singh from speaking to the media, following complaints from Cricket Australia over his alleged remarks about Matthew Hayden and Adam Gilchrist.

The BCCI confirmed receiving a letter from CA regarding the same. "We have asked him not to speak to the media," Niranjan Shan, the board secretary, said. "It's time to move on. We don't want any more controversy."

CA took objection to Harbhajan's recent outburst, when he labelled the Australian team "arrogant", called Matthew Hayden a "big liar" and said Adam Gilchrist was "not a saint" and has written to the Indian board on the issue. There are also reports in the Australian media that the ICC has taken cognisance of Harbhajan's remarks, which he later denied saying.

Harbhajan was largely booed by the crowds after the Symonds episode in the Sydney Test. During the first final of the CB Series in Sydney, a few spectators alleged Harbhajan gestured and spat at them but Jeff Crowe, the match referee, viewed the evidence and felt there was no need to take action against him.

Am I the only that reads that to suggest that he wasn't not guilty?

Wow, that's big of them.

Talk about shutting the gate after the horse has well and truly bolted.

I loved the bit from the BCCI saying, "We have asked him not to speak with the media".

Wow ... "asked" ... that's pretty stern stuff from the BCCI :)

Thats exactly what it says... They weren't found not guilty, they just didn't have enough hard evidence, on paper, that would stand up to the BCCI's "Stern demands"

Someone would literally have to have had it on video (Harbhajan doing monkey taunts as he did) for the BCCI to accept that it was guilty...

I Suppose whats the worst that could have happened? They may have gone home earlier!?

Habhajan would have been banned if the ICC gave the judge the list of suspended matches he has on his record.

Gee how'd that not get to him:rolleyes:

He should have been banned from playing altogether.
