Fair to say that the people who read this board are unlikely to be the ones who jump off. It's the glory hunting 'casual' supporters who will abandon us first.

I will definately be there next week, and the week after, and the week after. And if we haven't won a game by round 15, I'll still be there every week.

Paid my membership yesterday so may as well use it. I'm still clinging to hope we might be competitive.
The question should be who's not going to the game.

I'll be there given I have to fill the void left behind since the missus went to England for 12 months

Everyone on this board will be there if they can. If we get a few wins up (yes, unlikely) than you might see the bandwagoners start to follow.

As if I'd not attend.
Been to Geelong and Cranbourne to watch us get our arse kicked, might as well go to the MCG and see more of the same.
Nah, we'll improve during the season.

Yeah we'll be losing all the time but a footy game is a footy game. Still be entertaining.

Of course I'll be there. It would be good just seeing our young guns having a crack.
Pettard, Garland, The Juice, Grimes, Maric, Woonamerri, Morton, Sylvia, having a go will do me fine for now.

If Melbourne are going to be filling the void I'd suggest that it wasn't going too well...

Any fan who cares about their club will attend the game (location/availability pending).

Like a kick in the nuts, my friend...
I figure I'll just replace the torture and heartache in my life with more torture and heartache. Makes sense!

I bought my membership over 5 months ago - have had to endure wanker cricketers other 'sports'.
Win loss or draw - i'm happy to watch. Unless we lose like recent, then I will be forced to stick potato planks into the eye of my penis for fun.

You're in the right place then.
Actually for me the right place will be in front of the 9.32 to Frankston when we're 0-10, but I wouldn't suggest that to anyone else.

I haven't bought my membership yet but that's only because I'm lazy. I'll of course buy it before round 1 as it will be my 11th straight year. I'll of course be there at the G on Sunday evening and every other Victorian game (barring unforseen circumstances).

For those who were around supporting in the late 60's and 70's,this year will be a breeze!

I usually don't drink at the footy, but this year I'll be attempting to smuggle a flask of scotch into every game.

I'm planning on jumping the fence and snorting the boundary line. Of course it goes without saying that as a Melbourne or football supporter in general, if you don't experience the pains of the football team, you don't deserve to celebrate the glory.

I often do this... cause if its a bitter Melbourne loss it helps you get over it and if it a awesome victory you become loud and abnoxious.... rival supporters hate a smug drunken lout!

thats a great line
as a bomber supporter i have been spoilt by our success
the last few years have been enjoyable though...watching kids is great
i wasn't really a hardcore supporter until after our dominance of 99-01 so that line is very relevant to me
i have never deserved the glory...next time will be worth the wait...however long that is

Really? Wow I don't remember leaving the ground at any of the games we lost last season. I just fill up a plastic coke bottle with bourbon. You always lose flasks when pissed.
