The lids off already.

I'm going to predict around round 6/7.

What's with all these negative threads? Growing tiresome. Have some faith people, the real stuff hasn't even started yet.
"Well going on our pre-season form we can safely predict that we will be shit this year" ....
WRONG. The boys are yet to really fire up. At the G is where we play our best footy and with the crowd behind them we will win some games this year. GET BEHIND THEM, lets gather some momentum now. We will be running out against Hawthorn with a near full strength lineup...I rate us a very high chance of knocking them off.

Its pre-season, let me have my fun Tommy.

If we beat the Hawks, I'll be the first one to jump on the '08 flag bandwagon.

I'm kind of trying to be negative so if we have a shocker I won't be disappointed but deep down I'm not ruling out a good season.

Have your fun, but there have been about half a dozen negative threads in as many days. Just wanting people to have a more positive outlook. We can all whinge and sigh once and if we are on an 8 game losing streak (touch wood). Until then lets talk up the boys as much as possible. At the moment we are equal 1st on the ladder.

Bang, I hit it after the Bulldogs game. Don't give me this "it's a practice match" shit. Even our senior players look bored with footy. We might not be "that bad" on paper, but at least 14 of 15 other teams look "that much" better than us. When we finish 9th come back and see me. If we win the flag come and punch me in the face. But for now I've seen nothing that says we'll even be competitive this year.

It's a practice match.

You guys all need to relax and wait till the season proper.

Im sure we won't be 0-9 like last year.

Bartram, why is there a need for a panic button when you dont have expecations? I dont expect us to be any good sounds like either do you, so why would we need one.

There's a difference between no expectations and being humiliated.

I think its easy to become negative. Including NAB cup and practise matches we have won 6 games in the last 13-14 months. And nothing to show this year that this is going to change dramattically. We look so far behind the pack at the moment. Its melbourne so if they make the 8 i wont be surprised, but we look the most likely to win the spoon im afraid.

Is there a "RESET" button instead?

Scrap EVERYTHING and start again...

Well now that you mention it we actually more or less are hitting the reset button. Most of our stock is 24 yrs or younger and after 2008 there won't be too many seniors left (nearly half have just left). Not to mention new CEO and various coaches and new facilities in 2009. Within the next two years we will be one of the most transformed teams/clubs.

I hit it that day we put Alastair Nicholson in the ruck...The future was grim and bleak

I've been on this for a couple of years. Trust me, hitting it doesn't help and can only lead to a damaged computer screen.

My panic button is the F5 refresh button...No matter how much I press it the same thing keeps coming up, it's like a nightmare

Ah great day that was.

The only time I can remember a player being cheered off the ground by his own fans. :thumbsu:

I think we even managed to get up?

Ah yes against the Bulldogs I believe. We were up by about 40 points I think (Maybe a bit of an exaggeration) and they came back to give us an almighty fright...Funnily enough the comeback coinciding with Nicholson in the ruck

I hit it when Geelong kicked 3 goals in the first 9 seconds of our NAB Cup game.

I'd say the button has been well and truly beaten to buggery since Sunday
