What will the top 6 look like at the end of the year - in order.
We can look back in six months and see how close we all got
Goal Sneak you can be as biased as you want towards Langy now because it may come back to bite you at the end of the year.
My top 6
Cora Lynn
Nyora
Catani
Poowong
Lang Lang

stop kidding yourself goal sneak, langy wont finish top three, but should sneak in the 6, who's going to kick 100+ at langy, maybe if you breed two more kurt batts and a gun full forward, batt by the way being far better than brown, you sure you haven't been getting on that rat sack with those other langy boys?

No they will average 13. Will probably be closer to the 20 mark against the likes of Warragul.
Nyora
Catani
Cora Lynn
Poowong
Nar Nar Goon
Bunyip
Big fall for Bunyip, which I'm not so sure about. Haven't looked at the draw at all, which could play a big factor.

Why dont you think Cora Lynn can finish top 2 bigbad?
I think CL are a great chance to finish top 2 Lucifer but they dont have enough home grown talent to win a flag like Nyora and Catani. I wouldnt be surprised if they go through the season undefeated and come undone in the finals. On paper they should be the best side in the competition but i would be happy to take bets on them for the flag.

I will gladly give you those odds about CL Goalsneak. I would lay them at those odds until the cows come home. Would you like a bit on LL also? Im guessing if you are a uni student you wont be having much on.

Yeah not rolling in it. $200 would be my limit i reckon. If you give me $3 on Cora Lynn and $12 on Lang Lang i will put $100 on each. Not much of a dent on a wealthy man like yourself.

Contact me via private message Goalsneak and i will see what i can do.
Lang Lang at $12 is the better bet of the two i reckon. Might be a year too early with that one maybe.

Not arguing mate, just interested in thoughts behind everyones opinions etc. It is a forum isnt it, thats what people do - discuss topics!
And i know torp is from NNG, was just stirring him.
You need to chill out i think Saint Leo. You seem a bit tense or worried. Have you been thinking about round 1 coming up?
Is this a joke?
It just all sounds very reminiscent of last year's tips about Nilma Darnum from you, Goal Sneak, it doesn't take much for any teams' season to fall apart.
Nar Nar Goon had a great young side last year, with some good footballers coming through, but it's a long season of long quarters, which probably got to them in the end. Appear to have some good pick ups on paper and are my tip for biggest improver. Whether that gets them into the finals or just miss is up in the air.

The Nilma Darnum stuff from last year was based on the fact we had a pretty good draw and the expectation was that we would win 6-8 games and at the end of the year, we had won 6 and had a draw.
A bit more of the unknown this year as our draw is a fair bit harder, yet our recruits seem to be much better than last year. Hard to say where we will finish this year.
In keeping with the fact that this is a discussion board, I would like to say one thing.
I reckon all those above that have put Lang Lang in their final 6 are actually starting to believe everything that they read from goalsneak.
Stick with the things you know.
1. Nyora and Catani will be there.
2. Cora Lynn have recruited well enough to be certainties.
3. According to the vcfl EDFL transfers page, Bunyip have lost a couple but will still be thereabouts as of today. Ryan Ablett isnt there, but the others are still listed there.
4. Poowong are still a good side worthy to be in there too.
5. Longwarry have lost their gun, but what I noticed whilst he was kicking 16 against us is that the delivery to Dono was spectacular. Any half reasonable footballer will kick goals in that side on the end of that delivery.
6. Nar Nar Goon were very good for the first 9 rounds and it appeared their kids got tired as the year wore on.
7. Lang Lang were ok, hot and cold. They didnt impress me when we played them and I find it hard to see them improve to become finalists on the back of 1 or three "recruits". From what I saw, they have further to go to be real contenders than a couple of good footballers.
8. Ellinbank can catch any side out on their day.
9. Koowee, Dusties, Buln and NNS will all probably struggle for consistency.
This is all my opinion.
For your sake goalsneak, I hope you can back up all the talk. 1 or 2 injuries can ruin a season.
You don't have that many clearances in to the club, Goal Sneak, how could you have the most depth, when you pick up a fringe player from Poowong and say he's in your senior team.
You're just setting yourself up for a fall.

You may well be correct, magician.
And might I also say that it is no coincidence that all those clubs come from the western areas/reaches of the competition. The talent pool is almost endless for those clubs and whilst they also have a wonderful variety of juniors, the scope for grabbing the odd reasonable footballer from the EFL or MPNFL or other such leagues is immeasurable.
A lot harder for the clubs in the eastern reaches of the comp. If those clubs arent competitive enough to push for the finals, then they are going about it all wrong. KWR may be the example at this point in time.

Dead right plugger, why would a good player who was chasing some coin or just wanted to play country footy travel to Nilma, Neerim, Warragul or Buln when they could travel much less distance and get the same (or more) cash at Cora Lynn, Goon, Catani or even Nyora and Langy?

To be fair i think some of the teams mentioned have done a lot better job turning their junior players into senior footballers and keeping them at the club.
