Sheahan's top 50 is always abit of a lottery. I tend to think he gets bored halfway through and picks some names out of a hat.

He says every year that the list at the start of the year is who he thinks will be the best 50 players in that year ahead (2008 this time). ie. a prediction. However, the one at the end of the year is his ratings of the best 50 players in that year that was.

This is his best list in a few years IMO, it agrees with my perspective for about 70% of the players/places. From a Brisbane POV, Adcock missing would be the only clear difference between what I think and Mike's opinion.

But Adcock did get a mention:

"As usual, there are 15-20 players desperately unlucky to miss.
They include Hawthorn's best-and-fairest winner Brad Sewell, the veterans Cameron Ling and Darren Milburn (Geelong), Dustin Fletcher and Matthew Lloyd (Essendon), Matthew Richardson and Nathan Brown (Richmond), Brett Kirk (Sydney), Scott West (Western Bulldogs) and Tyson Edwards (Adelaide), and the likely next wave of gun players: Aaron Davey, Nathan Foley, Jed Adcock, Jarrad Waite, Heath Shaw, Dane Swan, Ryan Griffen and Adam Cooney."

In all honesty there is no player i would rather have more in my side than Charman and Black is a absolute gun and is top 10 at least
