If that is all we have to go on then perhaps the announcement is that Knighter is being renamed Skipper as he has less a tendency to abuse his teamates than Campbo.

most likely : retire
possible : tell libba ' good riddance '
less likely : announce new contract
least likely : get the nod as skipper
if i knew how to post a poll...i would !
This Friday will be his last game for the Tigers. What a way to go out - lead a united front that knocks off the Bombers, consigns them to a season of missing the finals and also ensures that Carlton collect the wooden spoon.
Now that's going out with some Glory! :D

congratulations are in order to a true champion of the richmond football club.im pretty sure i still have the tape of matty,s 1st game for the tigers running out with a fair few baby faced rookies.
i remember matty practially winning the 95 finall against the bombers.
the list goes on!
a true reflection was seen today of matty,s character when he could have easly and understandable could have dished out at the danny and the football club however he took the decision on the chin and will leave the game with his head held high.
god bless you mathew knights and thank you for some wonderful memories.
cheers!

Knights deserves a good send off. They had him on foxtel tonight taking calls. Reading between the lines he is not a happy chappy and feels he has been shafted. Even questioned some of Frawleys coaching tactics. However, Frawley has made the right descision, hopefully the first of many.
