A grade

Loxton reasserted their authority on the double chance with a 12 point win over contender Berri last Saturday.
The injury and suspension ravaged Tigers out up their best performance of the year to overcome the hot Demons, who had defeated top side Waikerie by 10 goals the previous week.
Grant Dahlitz' exceptional form continued for Loxton, while fast paced Ash Gilliland, defenders Grantley Treloar and Mal Hahn were also good.
Best for Berri were Jayme Peltz and Ryan Moritz, returning from suspension.
At Renmark, the home side virtually accounted for Loxton North's finals hopes with a thrilling five point win.
The wooden spoon likely Rovers outplayed North for three quarters, leading by seven goals at the final break.
A miraculous recovery led by Craig wooldridge, who was dumped from the SA Country squad earlier in the week, saw North close the margin.
Coach John Persinos and Central District recruit Paul Stelzer held back the tide, just, and gave their side another win in an otherwise bleak season.
Waikerie bounced back from their surprise loss to Berri, with a 26 point win over Barmera-Monash.
A slow start by the visiting Roos saw them well behind at the first break.
B-M gradually pulled back the margin in each quarter, but two early goals thwarted their charge.

Independents
Moorook-Kingston did enough to defeat sixth placed Wunkar by 39 points.
East-Murray placed Paringa's hopes of the minor premiership under threat with a 32 point home victory.
Lyrup held its spot in the top four with an easy win over wooden spooner probables Cobdogla.

Loxton extended its winning streak to three with a 42 point win over Barmera-Monash.
The Tigers fired up early botting five majors to one and it was only a couple of goals late in the term that kept the Roos in touch.
Loxton's midfield was in control throughout the match, particularly Daniel Evans, who hadn't slept for two days.
A closely fought middle two quarters saw Barmera-Monash in with a chance early in the last term.
However, Shane shubert came into the play across the half forward line, marking strongly and generally imposing himself upon the game.
Goals to Evans sealed the match.
Dean Carter, who tagged Matthew Schutz (but not completely out of the game), was best for the Roos, while they also received good service from link man Daniel Lambert and key forward Sam Fischer, who played for West adelaide reserves the previous evening.

Waikerie came from behind to steal an away win against the unlucky Loxton North Panthers.
Craig Wooldridge's outfit dominated the first half of the match but could only look on in the final quarter as Luke Horner, Troy Lehmann and Craig nutchey guided the reigning premiers home.
A disappointing resulkt for the Panthers who are virtually condemned to missing the finals for the first time in a long time.

Wooden spoon favourites gave berri a fright as they ran the Demons to 10 points.
Trailing by 29 points at the final change, Renmark led by John Persinos restricted the Demons to just one goal as they closed in on a surprise win.
With Paul Dempsey and Paul Stelzer firing the Rovers worked hard to get into position, but the sterling rebound of Robert Handley and the moritz brothers saved their side from an inglorious defeat.

Independent A grade
East Murray flogged a decmated Wunkar by 236 points.
Brown's Well climbed to the top of the ladder with a five goal win over former ladder leaders Paringa.
All other clubs had byes.

With three matches remaining in the A grade football season, Renmark have merged as surprise finals contenders.
Expected to win the wooden spoon in 2002, Renmark secured an exceptional victory over injury wracked reigning premiers Waikerie on the weekend.
The win lifts them off the bottom of the ladder and one game behind fourth side Barmera-Monash.
Barmera-Monash nearly pulled off their own surprise on Saturday, running highly favoured Berri to one point. A win would have virtually sealed fourth placed for the struggling Roos.
At Loxton, the home side dealt with bitter rivals Loxton North, scoring a nine point win in a very even game.
Conditions across the Riverland weren't conducive for quality football, probably reason for the three close games.

In Independent football Moorook-Kingston suffered a four point loss to East Murray. A kick on the siren could have won the match but missed.
Brown's Well slipped from top spot with a loss to Lyrup who kept their finals hopes alive.
While Paringa were unconvincing winners over bottom side Cobdogla.
