hopefully our midfield can hold out :S
IMO we have one of the stronger forward & back lines in the comp with lucas, lloyd & fletcher, michael and hopefully paddy ryder can take another step up this season.
i reckon fletch will take edwards and paddy will be on jones

Who Ryder and Fletcher end up playing on is very much up in the air. David Hale spent a lot of time at CHF last season, and Drew Petrie spent time there as well. In fact, with Shannon Watt, Michael Firrito, Scott Thompson and Josh Gibson in the side, Petrie will probably end up a forward.
Nathan Lovett-Murray's a strong chance to get the job on Corey Jones I'd suggest.
I think you've got Stanton and Watson round the wrong way. I'd be confident of Brady Rawlings getting the tagging job on Brent, with Adam Simpson and Jobe Watson going toe to toe in the centre.
As for McPhee's opponent, I severely doubt that that would be Drew Petrie.McPhee would just be far too quick and agile for him. Expect one of Scott Thompson, Josh Gibson or Michael Firrito to be given the job.
Aside from that, Shannon Watt and Scott Thompson are no where near equipped to play on Jetta or Davey, they'd be chasing tail all game. It's hard to see any direct match ups for them, but I'd be guessing that Daniel Pratt and Sam Power would be strong chances.
Dont put McPhee on Petrie, far too strong and tall.
And why play Nash on Wells?
Nash is a clever player with brilliant footskills.
You guys should chuck him on the wing, hows his pace though?

Its actually who would you guys put on Mcphee as he will be playing as a lead up forward

Sorry, read it wrong.
And you're right, I'd put Watt on him.

As I mentioned in another thread, I thought Lucas looked bloody threatening against Gibson in last years game.
He kicked 5 goals but the delivery to him was absolutely shocking that night.
If our midfield can take hold and deliver to him then he can rip Gibson apart with more than 5 goals.
The last couple of years we have saved some of our worse games of the year skill-wise for the Kangaroos, hopefully being round 1 things will be a little different, we're due against them, if we tackle hard and run hard we'll win

I'd say that our lack of quality skills are a result of the pressure of the kangaroos midfield, if we break even in the middle our KPP's should be enough to get us over the line.
