It has been ruled by the VCFL that Skrobolak has been stripped of his coaching accreditation for this coming season and therefore will not be coach of East Geelong. Ryan Coy will coach East.
The VCFL will look at an appeal at the end of the season.
The ban is a result of a court case last year.
I believe he will still play. And have a role as "football manager".

Wow. Such big news it deserved its own thread.
What happened to all those 'guarantees' from East people that he will coach?
Is the ban anything to do with his grand final conduct last year or something completely different?
Furthermore, will the ban really stop him from doing anything?

even though he isnt coaching that wont not stop him from being able to play as just a normal player?

Not really news as everyone has none about this since October last year.
He is still at East and is the key man regardless of his official role.

I can confirm that a note was made by umpires in that he was addressing players in the breaks. In terms of anything coming of it, the answer is nothing. What can they do? Stop all players talking to their teammates.. there's no way to police such a ridiculous ruling

Can confirm that this was discussed but I guess if you send 3 officials to stand behind the coach's box to watch one bloke you need to report something back.
The special treatment that he gets you would think that someone has it in for him.

but what can they do from it? even if he isnt an official coach no one can stop a player from giving his own opinon for the team so he could coach unofficially just as a player? there is nothing they can do
