I heard on the Footy show earlier today that Buckley was booed by the crowed over there for no reason what so ever.
Is this true?
I didn't see the game, but if it is, they need to learn some respect for Champions of the game in Perth........
Hird also was booed for no reason what so ever. The lame excuse from the supporters was something about a soft free.. Like the players are in control of what the umpires do?

TOO EASY!!!!!!!
:D ;) :p
No offense but Collingwood looked pretty ordinary on the day.... players like Rocca, Tarrant etc didnt make much of an impact at all
Well I suppose its better to get our shocker out of the way before the finals.

buckley is a big strong boy ,im sure a few boo's dont hurt him....much ado about nothing IMHO ..... sticks and stones

The feelings mutual...:p
The two games we have played there this year, we have lost primarily in my opinion, to poor kicking to leading players. Chris Tarrant for example had about 6-7 passes hitting his bootlaces.
I reckon Subiaco can imact the perception of the interstaters, especially with their foot passing. I don't know if the ground has an odd curve or is a bit longer or something.
Not that I am saying we would have won the other day, because West Coast won the game by running harder IMO. Congrats to WC.

Jod you cheeky boy. <Activates memory bank>.;) I can't wait for the next meeting. Bloomin' Eagles, they were very tough and their teamwork and pressure was excellent.
Once again we have lost to a "middling" side. We seem to get up for the good sides: our efforts vs Brisbane, Port & Adelaide demonstrate this. However, when we come up against areasonable side jostling for position in the middle ranks we seem to lose concentration. It was the same vs Freo. I'm not belittling WC here, they played excellent football and stopped us from playing our game. I just don't think we showed them enough respect and we paid for it.
Well here's hoping we spank the Blues on Friday.

Poor Buckley, Poor Hird. My @rse!!!
I guess these people never booed Matera for no reason in the late 90's. Every time he came to Melbourne he copped an earful.
Matera took more dives than Italy during the world cup. He is a good player when he isnt trying to act. Thats why he was booed.
As for Subi, they kicked out 9 Collingwood Cheer Squad people because they were too loud and were waving flags when eagles players where having a shot at goal, shows the W.A mentality.
I hope the eagles do make the finals as we know they cant win AWAY from home. Carlton is thier only win.
Collingwood had a bad day, it happens. We're still in the top 4.
West Coast might be lucky to win 2 more games for the year. There are no certainties for them, still can miss. Wouldnt that be a shame.

No offence to your team but you lot are also a middle team. Brisbane and Port are the standouts and then Collingwood through Freo are the middle sides.

Then we are the best of the "middle sides" and have been for weeks.
Rather be 3rd and in the middle than 10th and in the middle.

Fair enough, but 3rd middle and 10th middle is still middle.

Jod, no offence taken at all, thats my point exactly. I would like us to be bottom of the top group, not top of the middle and wobbling. We have had a couple of reminders of our inexperience and lack of depth recently, against sides like Geelong and West Coast. You guys are decent but not sensational. At the moment we only look half decent.
We need four solid wins out of the last 5 games to restore respect and hold on in the top 4. It's do-able, but will require real courage and concentration from the young blokes at the club. Courage and concentration were the hallmarks of our play in the first 11 rounds, so we know we have what it takes. We just have to deliver.
