Don't know if this is been posted before but I just realised that Michael Imperioli was an actual writer in the series, which I thought was ironic given that the character he played in the series - Christopher - was a failed writer and actor in the early seasons.

Well according to imdb he only contributed to 5 episdoes so I would hardly say he was an established writer for the series.

That's true but he started writing for the show in 2000, which is around the time his character was also writing and going to acting school in the show.

He has always been a writer as well as an actor. He wrote the movie Summer of Sam
