Round 3 Review
Not much change from the first 2 weeks. While Firritos game is consistent he unfortunately had Roughhead kick 4 goals on him. 4 goals do not indicate how well Firrito played on him. I felt he was one who tried all day . He seemed to demand the ball on occassions from other players who were under the pump ,to try and instigate a forward move. Didnt get or give a free kick but linked up well for most of the day. 7/10

Round 6 Review.
While O'Loughlin did kick 2 late goals ,Firrito did a good job holding him for most of the day. His kicking to position and marking were great to watch and whenever he went for the ball he repelled the Swans attack. He continues to improve each week.

Round 7 Review.
Not the worst player but didnt have control .His player got away on quite a few occassions which resulted in goals. He needs to forget this game and look at the next game.

Does anyone think Firrito should continue to play full back?
Scott Thompson did a good job playing FB, maybe Firrito should be moved to another position.
If not, then which position should he be moved to? Be specific.

Is this '20 questions'? What do you think? Do you want to provoke some discussion or not? How about having a go yourself, first? Aren't a string of questions bloody annoying?

Answer the questions or not.

I just want to know where Firrito is best positioned, because I'm struggling to know if he's best suited for us as a FB or HBF or third tall or CHB or wing or centre or tagger or rover.
I believe he shouldn't be played as a FB, but I'd like to know if someone disagrees because I might not know something that I didn't before.

I think he's really struggling at FB against the big bodied, reasonably classy/experienced opponents. He seems to be out-positioned a lot in one-on-ones and we all know how much bagging Shannon Watt cops when this happens to him.

With Spud, I reckon his confidence is shot (the new rule interpretations have made it extra tough on him to give away height/reach) and it's time for him to push up the ground or play on the no.2 forward.

That said, I don't think Scotty Thompson is big enough to play permanent FB, either. And he's very inexperienced. We need to create a FB somehow.

Spud needs a change of position ,most likely CHB or HBF. He's still required on the backline for drive but is now being found out because of his height and quality forwards. If everyone is patient then Scott Thompson would be the answer, but atm is still to light. He's our answer to Scarlett from Geelong but it will take time.

What a change a week makes. Tonights game by Firrito against Cloke was by far one of the best games he has played this season. Not only taking Cloke to the cleaners to the point where Cloke was bench a few times but also in contributing to the scoreboard. His marking and foot skills were what we have come to expect from Spud at his best. 8.5/10

Review of Nth vs Brisbane

Apologies for not putting in a review for the Melbourne game.

l travelled to Carrara to watch the game and thought Firritos game was a good and consistant . Compared to the last time we played Brisbane where he got completely towelled up by Brown , having Firrito play further up the ground gave him the ability to run off his player or assist his defenders ,double teaming either Brown or Bradshaw. Rated his game a 7/10.

Round 19
Playing Firrito further up the ground has help his game immensley. The exact role his playing l'm unsure of but as with last weeks game this was also another above average game by him. While he did make a couple of errors ,including a fumble mark, the more you get possesion the more chances of an error occurring. His becoming more of the player he was when given the Number 11 jumper. he seems to have worked through his slump. Vote 8/10

This would have to be the worst performance l've ever seen him play. Didnt man up on Ebert, seemed to be in 2 minds of what to do and where to be. l only hope he can put the game behind him and show everyone that the performance he showed today was rare. Rating 1/10. Only because he didnt cost us any goals.
