View Full Version : Favourite Pearl Jam Album.
Just interested as to which Pearl Jam album people would rate as their favourite.
For me, it would have to be out of the indomitable 'Vs', and the art-rock follow-up 'Vitalogy'.
I voted for Ten. Probably more because of associating it with a particular time and place, and that sort of thing, than just the music. I don't reckon there are any dud songs on it, whereas there are tracks on the follow-ups that I don't like.
Vs was one I really couldn't get into at all, but Vitalogy was an improvement, it seemed to be more of a rock'n'roll album than the others.
Couldn't get into ANY of the albums after Vitalogy though, but still went to see them when they played the Tennis Centre in 1998. Very disappointed. :(

'Vitalogy' 1st, with 'Vs' a close 2nd.

The one with Eddie Vedder committing suicide on it.
Oh wait, they haven't made that one yet.....

I'd have to go with Vitalogy, not a filler on this album at all. Every song is great.
BTW does anyone still spin the black circle?

Vitalogy. Made just after Kurt Cobains death, with several references of it in the album. Like Ten, it is a complete record, but it gets the nod because it is more out there than Ten. Ten had a lot of similar sounding songs, while Vitalogy was fairly diverse. Anyway, it has Bugs. :D
The Hitman
i voted ten but vitalogy is a very close second.

Ten - the greatest album not just by them, but by anyone
V's is not too far behind and I reckon they are yet to make a bad album
Vitalogy gets my vote with Vs a close second.
However my favourite album involving members of Pearl Jam would be the Temple of the Dog album, pretty easily actually.

I agree.
But Yield still sucks.

Vs gets it ahead of Vitalogy, because Vitalogy is spoiled by the "artistic" songs in between the serious music (you know the ones - aye davanita, pry to, bugs, etc... and what the **** were they thinking with stupid mop???)
