I agree, while I did pick Kinglake it is early to start saying that they have made the grade after several very poor seasons in the Northern League.

Kinglake are a little like Yea as in they will win a few games here and there but the Thornton, Alexandra and Belgraqve look a view classes above the rest of the competition.

Congratulations Powelly. I bet there were big celebrations last night.

I heard early results of the Alex/YG game and thought Alex might pay a price for dropping a couple of players for disclipinary reasons but it seems they weathered the storm pretty well.

As for the Boners my report is on the other thread but all in all a game to take a few lessons from and move on to prepare for another hard game next week.

Tips for this weekend,

Thornton Eildon over the very competitive Kinglake who look better when Gallachio is playing.
Emerald over Yea as they look a finals prospect and won't want to lose this game.
Seville over the disappointing Yarra Junction who are certainly at a low ebb.
Yarra Glen over Powelltown - congratulations to all at Powelltown, great stuff and certainly didn't get the recognition the win deserved. The Demons have certainly improved this year.
Alexandra over Belgrave in a danger game for the Rebels. This one could go either way.

Belgrave over Powelly 85 points
Kinglake to touch up Yarra Junction 94 points
Alex to beat a depleted Seville at the potato chip 53 points
And in the game of the round I'm expecting Emerald to confirm they will be a contender by accounting for Yarra Glen should be a great game and is the only difficult one to pick I believe. Emerald by 22 points
