Port Adelaide 1870

Woodville Eagles beat the Port Magpies Football Club in a hard slog today, woodville.....west torrens .......eagles got up by 7 or so points in the last few minutes to win...It was great to see Darren Mead hit his straps, he repelled many attacks, very reminiscent of the days he played for Port Adelaide when they were in the SANFL.
Ryan Oconner is a log, a burden on the PortMagpies Football club, they have few forward options...the gathering at Alberton was sparce, perhaps 800- 1500 at most..
apart from that the beer was cold and there was lots of it..
Its wonderful to see people wearing scarves from woodville/west torrens and yelling things ..like "Go Eagles !" or "Ball !"
I enjoyed the experience watching their banter.
Go PortMagpies...despite your loss...:(
Go Port Adelaide...the Power tonight!:D
well looks like you've done alright tonight but will port adel(sanfl) make the five from here or not whats there run home like?

dont think so. Our run home is hard. We play Sturt next Friday at Adelaide, then Centrals at Elizabeth (both probable 7-10 goal losses)...then we play West at Alberton and North at Prospect (look forward to having some beers with the Rooster clan) so probably 1 maybe 2 wins.
We dont deserve to make the finals and i hope we dont. Will wake us up a bit.
As for PA1870s crack at Rhino....get off his back....he has been our best and most consistent player all year and will romp it in in the Best and Fairest.

in all honesty...
Rhino is doing the best he can at that level , He is required to take on too much work, but he continues to try so hard, the problem at the present time is there arent enough around him to give him the support he deserves or rewards for his bullocking hard work.
As for Stephen Williams, the man has little to use at the moment, it will take some time before youngsters mature and new players are brought in to bolster the weary ruck stock, Williams position at the PortMagpies is without question.
We will continue with our support:D

I would say so yes. Its not fully his fault we are down the bottom this year, and it is actually good to see that he has blooded a lot of youngsters this year. We've had four times as many injuries to senior players this year than any other side in the league...which is not an excuse as to why we are this far down the ladder, but it could well be used as one.
Anyone will struggle when they have 14-15 regular first team players out for over 1/3 of the season. For most of the year we have been without Carr, Wait, Mcguiness, Steed, Poole, Ackland, Ellen, Bamford, Harwood, Sheehan, Mcdowall, Wilson, Beinke, Warrior, Lyle, Tony Brown and Leys. I mean ****!!! And its not like it was 2-3 injuries spread thruout the year....we were missing that many players for about 7-8 weeks.
I have no doubt that if we had the majority of those players together for most of the year we would be in the finals this year...but thems the breaks...s**t happens.
We've debuted more players in one season than i can ever remember. Lokan, Kluver, Lockwood, Tessman, C. Ilett, Coudraye, Barrett, Ebert, Crook, Aaron Davey, Burdett, Finnin, Seal, M. Smith, Peucker, Alwyn Davey and Lohde all played their first games for the club this year. I for one would be dissapointed if Williams got sacked and cant work with this new (and some old) talent.
Our season is over, which is good....there are positives to come out of it...like all this new young talent that has come thru.
