View Full Version : Bring back 2 Chad's, A Kennedy and a Schofield
Thats the only way to move foward, reward the good form and they were our best outside the AFL side.
Kennedy was excellent again, almost winning a tight tussle with Peel off his own boot.
Schofield from all reports was BOG.
Chad Jones followed up six with seven this week.
Fletch, didnt miss a target and racked up big numbers.
They're the changes.

I thought Ballentyne was best on ground? Anyway who goes out?

Yeah, apart from Hansen, who goes out?
Dont think a week out is enough for Fletcher, let him stew for a while.
Schofield could rotate with one of Scooter or Nicoski.
Really want one of Kennedy or Cones in the team, but think that both of them maybe too much change. How inexperienced do you want the team to be?

How is bringing back Fletcher going forward?
i'd bring back fletcher, got to have some experience. i mean we want to win some games of footy dont we? we were shit in terms of the amount of ball we got on the weekend, fletch is a natural ball getter and he used it well for subi. you take the good with the bad with fletcher, he'll do a few dodgy kicks here and there but he'll still get 25 touches a game.
can cones and kennedy fit in the same side?

Agree with 3 of the suggested inclusions but no Chad Fletcher needs to spend longer in the WAFL. DOnt think that both Lynch and Hansen will get dropped though they deserve it. We just need someone who can take a mark. Chad Jones has got a good pair of hands and reasonable kick. Looked brillant in his debut I think it was Adelaide could have had 5 goals but hit the post 3-4 times. Scholfield also another that looked good last season providing some run.

Chad Jones is a one dimensional tall leading forward who is unproven at AFL level.
Chad Fletcher is a slow midfielder with pretty average skills.
Are these guys really the way forward?

Surely only one of Jones or Kennedy could come in
cant drop lynchy, he's not playing too badly.

The Big Q can't be dropped and wont be. He is a proven goalkicker and is somewhat of a danger in our forwardline. Hansen on the other hand is either hit or miss. He leads and leads and leads or he does nothing.
Hansen out, Lynch in.
Schofield in, Staker out. (If he isnt fit, Issy :) ).

Unless we start using some grey matter, it won't matter which forwards we select.
Lynch's best attributes (apart from his unit-ness) are his long kicking and stamina. He is so much better used 40-80m from goal than he is close to it, especially when the ball is bombed long to a pack situation, which is 95% of our forward entries.
Kennedy is tall and looks good above his head.
Hansen's game is built around high possession and creating space behind him. If he's not picking up 10 marks or more a game, he generally adds very little. Right now he looks out of touch, and unfit.
The most dangerous forward we've had all year is Mckinley, who is leading the goalkicking despite playing only half the games. He is short (comparatively of course, he's probably big than me) and can compete at ground level. Armstrong, who isn't a natural forward, chased and tackled on Saturday night, and as a result guys like Mattner & Bolton were placed under pressure when he was nearby and consequently turned the ball over a few times. Embley, Fletcher, Hansen, Lynch and Seaby all over next to nothing in terms of defensive pressure when playing forward.
Lynch to CHF, Kennedy to FF, with Armstrong & Mckinley to stay in the forward line, and Wirrpanda and LeCras to come back. Stiff for Chad Jones, but should Lynch struggle at CHF or Kennedy struggle at FF, he should be given a chance.

Chad Jones Kicked has kicked 13 goals in two weeks at WAFL level. Hansen hasnt kicked a goal in two weeks of AFL footy.
You think Hansen is multi-dimensional?
Our highest possesion earner was Matt Rosa who had 21 possesions. Thats not good enough. Chad is a proven ball winner, he was BOG by a long way his skills were good.
He earned his spot back.
The way foward is to reward good form.

He isn't. You can't blame a forward for not getting the ball when it ISN'T Down there! :thumbsd:
He's starting to push himself a bit more to get to the contests, and has done far more than Hansen this year in that respects.
Although West Coast look much more composed when Hansen moves up to the wing, and Lynch stays at FF with everyone crumbing around him.
I think it's time for Kennedy though, tell army to crumb rather than lead, and stick with the younguns.
McKinley and Lecras in the same forward line is starting to excite me though. (Once Lecras comes back) :thumbsu:

Yes to Kennedy and Cones playing. Lynch to stay but needs to play a role like Richo did against Freo on Sunday. Around the oval utillity player who can drift forward now and then and kick goals.
Hansen out, thats obvious another tall needs to go, but Staker will miss likely anyway.
Would like to see Wilkes in to support Glass with Spangher in there too as the running back we so dearly need.
Fletcher? undecided. Another week of WAFL won't hurt him but we do lack experience in the midfield and Braun isnt exactly playing well enough to lead by example at the moment. Stenglein just going ok at the moment, does he have the pace to run with any of Ports midfielders like Rodan or Pearce, I don't think so.
Cox shouldn't play if he is carrying an injury. Seaby needs a rocket and giving him first Ruck would be good for him and Lynchy can help out when Seabs is resting. Although we are coming up against a team with good Rucks, Lade and Brogan.
If Wirrapanda and Embley are available they must come back in so that would probably save a few asses for another week in terms of the number of players dropped.

Fletcher and Kennedy both will play this weekend. I will stake my house on it.
Ins:
Fletcher
Wirrpunda
Kennedy
Outs:
Jmac
Hansen
Nicoski
It will happen.
If I dont see The Fridge debut this week, the club may just well have a fridge thrown through a window at Subiaco, signed Big Man.
I'll make sure its a Rick ****ing Hart fridge too.
If Hansen plays ahead of Kennedy, I am not going to the game!

Lets just play both Jones and Kennedy and see what happens. Who knows, a goal each would be more on the scoreboard than what Hansen and Lynch has delivered.

Cones+ Kennedy for Lynch/Hansen these two need a break from the mounting pressure to score more goals.
