OK im not having a go here, just want some info. I only played up until under 17’s so im no master on game plans.
How is it possible that teams like Syd and the 90's kanga's can have such an open forward line? Is it because the opposition coaches are playing man-on-man and syd/90's kanga's push their players up the field and they have faith that their forwards can beat their opponents? Does this force a flow on effect and crowd the opponents forward line?
Why don’t the eagles try something similar? We aren’t scoring goals anyway and our forward 50 normal has 10 players in it and we are not great at contested marks. I think having Lynch, Ben Mck and Army bunched together in a clear forward line for them to lead into and take marks in front of their man could be effective.
