Okay, Rooey is probably my favourite player behind Lenny Hayes, but tonight's TFS interview with B Fevola made me think about how Roo could rise to his full perch potential.

1. Fev spoke about having a shot when in range...something Roo doesnt do enough. For mine, he passes off too much.

2. Fev spoke about the fact that he doesn't gain too much from the exact amount of goals he kicks but more so from the pressure he puts on opponents with tackles etc. How often do we see Roo listed with tackles? Now, I know he is a big fella but I really think he fails to keep pressure on at all times.

Dont get me wrong...I know and love the fact he works his butt off aerobically...

But in summary; I'd love to see him be a tad more selfish and kick the goals he works so hard to set up and also become more of a defensive player.

I think the call for him to work off a wing is a legitimate call but I would suggest a maximum of 20% game time given Fraser is seemingly influential near goals at present.

Go Roo!

Go Roo!

How many tackles does Fev lay when he is standing with his hands on hips spitting on the ground cursing his own players.

There is not much Roo can learn from Fev, especially work ethic related. It amazes me that Fev even has the gaul to keep a straight face while he implies he is a team player.

Not work ethic because Nicks is clearly better...I said defensive pressure!
Read the post.

This year, according to Champion Data, Nick has applied two effective tackles. TWO!
Fevola, who is no defensive monster has dished out 9.

I didnt say Fev was a TEAM player.

Fev is a knob...I was just pointing out some interesting differences in approach.

Why the heck would he base his game around someone with different skills and weakness to him?

Riewoldt is not a good long kick.
