Anyone hear anything about this? Supposedly he got an out of court settlement of about $60k.

Apparently $40k from CH7 and $20k from Radio 3AW.
Out of court settlement for those parties naming him after the Aker drug allegations.
Aker himself isn't paying a cent for his BS allegations.

Hutchy said on the footy show last night Braun & Aker will be on C7 prior to the game next week, as part of the settlement. Doubt that knob Aker will apologise though.

He will probably say something along the lines of:
I am sorry you were accused, when you werent the guy ...blah blah blah. An indirect apology, not a direct one.

You'd be lucky to get that out of Aker I reckon, the bloke can do no wrong.
We will probably get a good 5000 fans there so a nice big BOOOO whenever Aker touches it couldnt hurt either guys ;)

Fair enough. It's the publisher or broadcaster who gets shafted in these kinds of things. After all, they could choose not to air the allegations and thus stop them reaching a wider audience.
And besides, Aker didn't name Brauny - the broadcasters did, therefore Akermanis did no defaming whatsoever, it was done by those who put Brauny's name to Aker's nameless allegations.
He will get a pay out eventually and no doubt a substantial one but nothing has been finalised yet despite rumours to the contrary.
