What is up with Michael Gardiner at the moment? He's not listed as injured (http://www.injuryupdate.com.au/injuries.php?sport=AFL) so is he getting a run in the twos?

Cheers.

Sorry - just found he's got a calf injury.

It is disappointing that both King and Gardiner are unavailable for the Port Adelaide match. I must admit though, that before the season started I didn't expect either to hold out for every match of this season. I expected they might have a few breaks for whatever reason. In my mind though I always thought one would be available to carry the workload with Kosi.

Just before he was injured, Gardiner was looking the best that he'd been. He had regained some touch and his mobility was better than King's (although King was generally doing more around the ground).

Let's hope that when Gardiner does return, he continues on from his latest form and builds even further.

Hurts though when they are both injured when coming up against a strong ruck duo (although neither seems in great form at the moment).

Looking forward to seeing what Michael can produce without King this time.

I really hope he can hold his fitness for the rest of the season.

I'd also like to see the kid, McEvoy, get a run sometime this season. He has been doing an exemplary job for Casey so far.

Hopefully we will not need McEvoy. He just needs to develop with Casey this season.

The main problem is Rix as a back stop. His performance last Saturday was quite poor. Would take injuries to all of our rucks stocks for his to appear again.

Big challenge for Gardiner tonight. I just hope he is not a late withdrawal (i get a funny feeling)
