Want to know a bit more about this guy? Was given to us from West Coast as part of the Judd deal (#46) and from what I have heard, that pick could prove to be a lot more than just a sweetener. All I know is that he is a quick tough nut who loves getting into the thick of things.
Is his best football in the back half or the midfield and what are your expectations on him?

Dennis Is just the best!

Love him to bits..... he will chase all day, tackles, comes originally from a rugby background......
plays mostly in backline (from what I have seen)
If you get a chance, get to a Bullants game (possibly the one tomorrow at MC Labour Park & watch him (apparently he is playing as the seniors is unchanged team from last week) :thumbsu:

edit: My daughter & I may just start Army's Army.

Sorry buddy, the position of Dennis's #1 fan has been taken my me.

I can tell you that he is a very tough player, never gives up and would be perfectly suited to a tagger/small def role. He's very quick and has great acceleration so he can chase down his man if he gets a break on him. To back up his pace he has very silky skills, he can always be relied upon to hit the target when you need him to. Is very vocal with the boys and tries his absolute heart out with fantastic results. Came 2nd in the B & F for Swan Districts last year picking up an average of about 18 disposals, earning himself a bit of a rep up north. He has blonde hair and wears the number #27, you'll easily spot him during a match,

Was shattered he didn't make the side for this weeks game as we could have really used him on Davey, just like the game against Essendon where i think he could have neutralised Lovett's pace.

Anyone want to know anything else?

Have only seen a 2 minute highlight clip of him, but I love what I saw and what I read of him.

Being named an emergency this early in the season is a great effort and he should get a go in the senior side pretty soon.

I will be watching the Bullants tomorrow and hopefully he plays a good game.

Think you'll find Bex was suggesting he get a guernsey in the seniors soon. ;)

You'll like what you see J. He really is Mr. Intensity. Does all the hard stuff - blocks, tackles, shepards, chases, spoils, etc, etc.

Plays off half back, and just goes at 110% all of the time.

I wouldn't say he was given to us by West Coast because of the pick we got him at. There wasn't any talk of anybody else looking to take him and we did have another pick to use. Our pick after #46 was traded for Hadley (#52) but our next pick was about #68. I suspect Armfield would have still been there anyway.

I'm not about to credit West Coast for giving us Armfield. I prefer to think that our recruiting staff did a good job in not forgetting about his form a couple of years prior.

LOL! Oi!
I was sweating cos it was a hot arvo in the sun, not because I was having 'hot flushes' :p

So I hear.

We seem to be recruiting a hell of a lot of players capable of playing off half back.

His defensive game sounds excellent, but can someone tell me how his offensive game is? His natural instinct is to defend, but has he shown that he has the game to run and carry the ball out of the backline?

Could he be developed into a tagger?

Could he be developed into a tagger?I've always thought he could be a very good tagger, he has the right body to do it and has the pace and accelation.

Against Essendon we could have used him to play on Lovett.
