Apart from the Mighty Hawks winning the Flag, this would have to be the most satisfying feeling in football. As Hawthorn continue on their merry way Essendon just fades away to nothing, their supporters conjure up a million excuses as to why they were robbed but they are already looking to next year when it is still only round 5. Roll on the Buddy Franklin show, he will put some excitement back into your season!

I think the main reason Essendon lost is because St Kilda didnt take their foot off the gas enough in the 2nd half :o

Geelong were 2 and 3 at rd 5 last year and we all know what happened, to right any team off this early is stupid.

Notice that when we lose our supporters are here.
When you lose you run away like the coward that you are.
You opinion means nothing on BF, as you are known as the person that changed clubs, the biggest disgraceful act that a supporter can do and when you lose you cower away until you win.

I was pleased with the guys tonight, Reimers, Pears, Houli, were great for young kids. :thumbsu: Lovett again was brilliant, Stanton & Watson played well & Hille was great.
If Lucas & Mc Veigh had have been playing, I think that the result might have been different.
All up, no I am still confident, barring any more bad injuries, we will finish between 8 - 12, where I predicted we will finish at the start of the season. :thumbsu:

You have a very good memory, Celtic, you choose your moments when to change teams or go missing in a B13 event.
So let me suggest and another move you can deploy. A B13 rock and roller. Encourage Ratdeux to make it Ratvingt. And I swear i will make my BF tattoo yours.

ridiculous to say essendon's year is over...they've lost to geelong, bulldogs, st kilda so far. these are all likely top 4-5 sides this season. essendon don't play geelong again this year which is a bonus and only play hawthorn (top 2 imo) once. their draw gets a lot better in the coming weeks. no injuries tonight and some ok players coming back to strengthen the lineup in coming weeks. i wouldn't rule out making the 8. they have shown they can account for other sides such as kangaroos and carlton (likely 6-12 finish both of these). if essendon can beat these type of sides regularly then they might sneak into 7 or 8th. if they do they probably wouldn't last past 1st week of finals but it would be good for the kids to get there for some experience.
i along with the majority of the other 38,000 essendon members am quite happy with the way the club is heading and knights. definitely making some right decisions and the rewards will come in the near future.

We'll see how that 38K figure survives a bit of scrutiny in June.though otherwise your post is not unreasonable. I'd say Essendon looked booked for about 10th but 8th not totally impossible.
