I say around round 7 we'll see the 'bring back Sheedy' movement resurface.

We actually give our coaches a chance before calling for them to be sacked.

Stupid Thread

Knights coached pretty well tonight IMO. He obviously gave his team a rocket and got them up at half time after being 7 goals down. It's their fitness thats a problem

I'm not doubting Knights ability, I'm doubting that Don's fan have the patience for another final-less season.

Has Collingwood called in Malthouse for that lost to Carlton!

I don't think anyone will be calling for his head but, the running game Essendon are playing isn't sustainable unless every player in the team has extremely good hand and foot skills and the Dons don't have the team to do that, yet.

I'd be surprised if Knights doesn't introduce a more accountable and contested style of game in the second half of the season. The Dogs in 2006 played a similar type of game and while we beat the Pies in a final it was never going to hold up in a tight contest because we weren't physical enough and I think we suffered last year because of it. You need a mix of the two and if Knights is any sort of a coach he will realise that.

Stupid thread mate...Us Bombers fans are enjoying the new game style and know that there are going to be errors in our game every week, though they are very much expected coming from our young kids...

We already knew we wouldn't play finals unless we had a good run with injuries this year.

"Great Source" doesn't agree with that. Maybe he didn't get the memo?

Knights has stated many times that he has only worked on the barest aspects of his gameplan.

Of all the shocking threads that Magpie has started recently, this is probably the worst of the lot.

Some supporters predict through their heart, others through their head.

Idiot thread, considering who you blokes have had as your coach the last few years.
At least Essendon have the guts to take the next gen- approach.
Malthouse has been good at reflecting his poor coaching results over the years as he turns a simple post match press confrence into a defensive & snarley hit at the media, and has a pot shot at an AFL official or an umpire after every game.

I am happy with the way we are playing, the young kids are showing a lot. When you have a lot of young kids in your side & a new coach, have to give them a couple of years, look at the dawks for instance.

That is a refreshing attitude to have. The Dons may not been getting the points but I really found myself going for them tonight because of the quick running brand of footy they enjoy playing.

Am glad the game in Sydney I am going up for is against them. Will be a top day out at Homebush! :thumbsu:

Along with The Lloyd is finished thread.

I knew when I got home from the match there would be a lot of idiotic threads, but I left the game with hope, though unhappy with the result, bring on Anzac Day. :thumbsu:

I'm off to bed, been a big day & my throat is sore from cheering our boys on.

People are kidding themselves if they think there still isn't a pro Sheedy attitude down at Windy Hill.

That's why a few heavy losses is all that's needed for it to be brought to light.

Rubbish. The pro Sheedy movement will be from fans looking at the past with rose coloured glasses. I personally think Knight's is doing a better job then what Sheedy would have at this point of the season. Any Essendon fan using their brain knows they are in a better position with Knights leading the way, no matter what the vocal minority will say.

seriously mods..bay 13..

Yeah thanks for that!!

Yet another of your high and mighty main board shit threads that we have to put up with.

Let's face it.

If a thread is shit....it is shit wherever it originated, and should either be locked or deleted by the mods.

So I fail to see why we bay 13'ers should have to put up with your boards crap!!

Do the good threads from the Bay get elevated to the main board??

Yeah right!!

FFS change the policy and stop the crap from the main board from polluting the Bay!!!
