Gibbs is he playing or not ... wasn't at training on friday and bentick isn't playing in the Ants today ... have been no signs that gibbs had been injured on the weekend and was named Thursday night . hope gibbsy plays hes really starting to make hes mark.

doesn't look good if AB's not playing. it might be precautionary?

Should have moved him on while he was fit and had some currency.
Not sure how helpful this is, but just noticed in Game Day Live on the AFL website, Armfield and Bentick are named with Hartlett and Pfeiffer missing from the list, Gibbs is still on it though... don't know how helpful that is.
Todays Herald Sun reports no changes. Guess we have to wait to see if there is a late exclusion

Not sure how helpful this is, but just noticed in Game Day Live on the AFL website, Armfield and Bentick are named with Hartlett and Pfeiffer missing from the list, Gibbs is still on it though... don't know how helpful that is.
Well Armfield played today so he won't play. Bentick might still be late change, hope it's just precautionary though.

Hartlett was never in the team but O'Halphin isnt listed and the above two are.

Not the updated teams. Just lists the first 4 players on the extended bench as named on Thursday (Armfield and Bentick there b/c it's alphabetical order).

Apparently he didn't train on Friday.
You never wish for a player of Gibbs' quality to be out, but i hope Bentick gets a go and tears it up. Too good for VFL level and deserves his place.

I wouldn't look too much into Bentick not playing. IIRC he didn't play last weekend either as a precausionary measure.
Having said that, apparently Gibbs hasn't trained all week, so not sure exactly what's going on.

Don't know where you got that from.
He played last week and was one of the best on.
Of course you look into it. If an emergency doesn't play then there's a reason.
More than likely AB will come into the team for Gibbs tomorrow. No point risking a young man with a back complaint. Let him recover to take on the Crows next week.
