Tim Gossage makes me sick, at the moment Dunstall is giving him a run for his money.
KG and Cornesy clearly are but, their broadcasts are for the SA market. It's not their fault 3AW occasionally pick up their calls

Does he? You do realise Tim Gossage is a lifelong St Kilda supporter...... Not sure he has broadcast too many Saints games lately so not sure who you think he is biased for.
Jackovich for sure. He's so anti-Freo it's not funny

You would be anti-freo too if you were born there and then lived most of your life in Fremantly as Jako has. Absolute dump :D :D

Anyone who has not voted for KG and Wrinkles clearly has been most fortunate not to have ever listened to 5aa's coverage of any Crows or Port game. The endemic cyclopia is at its worst when they bring on the 'B Team' of Chris Ditmar and Russell Ebert in to commentate on Port Power games. Silly sidekick Rowey adds to the pain which is excruitiating even for a Norwood man such as myself.
I guess I am a little biased against the AA boys because I sent them an invoice for all of the broken radios they caused in my house THAT HAVE NOT BEEN REDEEMED.
None of the other commentators, with the posisble exception of the WA cretins, even holds a stack of lit wax in comparison to 5aa's own Heckyl and Jekyl. The only thing worse than seeing your club bent over by the maggots at AAMI Stadium is when dumb and dumber are plaintevely whining about the apparent injustice of it all while it is all happening. The reason they team up is so the station can have two eyes on every match. Still, the gentlemen concerned are well cast as they both have great faces for radio.

Soooooooo true
Caught the opening NAB game on 5aaa, Collingwood v Adelaide in Dubai on the internet radio and was disgusted at the call.
It was the only station to carry the game on internet radio and if the AFL don't look at themselves for allowing that tripe to go to air then they have zero guardianship for the game.
The shouting and screaming pro adelaide was sickening for any football supporter. So loud, that even the nonsensical comments as you knew them to be were inaudible.
And we were in a bar here in thailand with the sound up for about thirty Aussie AFL fans. Maybe 5 had a team interest, all Colingwood and they couldnt handle it either, scoreboard aside. Turned it off

no tim watson or robert walls?
Tim Watson is not biased against Ess, infact he doesn't even do special comments for SEN or C 7.
Maybe I should've thrown Walls in, but he has a crack every team. Isn't really that biased towards Carlton. Or is he?

Can't believe there's no Robert Walls. Easily the most biased I have ever heard. Carlton and Brisbane. Wallsy likes to strut around like he's respected or something. The only one who respects him is Quartermain who follows him around with a straw. Just because he coached Carlton to a single premiership he thinks he's a demi god. My toenail clippings could have coached that side to a flag.
Average player.
Average coach.
Below average columnist.
Way below average commentator.
I would like to see him in the centre of a circle of all the other commentators while they punch the living crap out of him. I'm sure they'd all like to.. except maybe "Quarters".

Yeh just goes to show wrong perception is. Gossage openly admits to being a St Kilda supporter... and I've heard him on morning radio several times here having a crack at the Eagles and Dockers... but keep on believing he is bias towards the Eagles. If anything he is the other way around and goes out of his way to get excited whenever the opposition get a goal because there is no crowd noise.
No Roberts Walls!
I'm surprised at his omission as well, he gets my vote.

The most bias would have to be Ian Robertson. I once heard him in a Eagles V Carlton game in the background scream out "Yesssss" when Carlton kicked a goal to win the game.

Must say I am surprised tim lane is getting a pasting, and I loathe Carlton but enjoy his commentary.
Interesting, but there are worse.
Drew Morphett may not be biased but is possibly the lamest commentator to have had the gig for 25-30 years. Only at the ABC. Pensioned.

I agree that I don't find Tim Lane biased but I want to punch his head in.....listening to him and Malcolm Blight crap on about mind-numbing bullsh1t just drives me insane. I now turn the volume down and listen to the radio.

On malcolm Blight, I have to say i find him not only vaccous but capable of saying some of the most ridiculous and outlandish things. I am constantly staggered he had the communication skills to get G'long to 2 or 3 grand finals

I listened to the ANZAC day game the year before last on radio and having no idea who Morphett supported before listening it became fairly obvious throughout the game that he was a Collingwood supporter.. I still don't know for sure but he either is or he just hates Essendon.
Could be the latter actually having just stumbled across this quote from an Inside Sport interview when asked "Have you ever been verbally abused by any players or coaches?"
"I once had to write an apology to James Hird. I was broadcasting an Essendon game and Hird was injured on the bench and the support staff were holding up towels, protecting him from the cameras. I said: “They’re protecting his identity as if he’s a paedophile.” I wasn’t accusing him of being a paedophile. It was a throw-away line and he took offence to it. So I had to write him an apology."

Yeah can't imagine why he'd be offended by that. Nice work Drew.

Not sure what you mean about Dunstall, as I find him to be fairly neutral (mind you, I'm a Hawks fan so maybe I can't see it) but he does still get nervous/barracks when are playing.
Quartermain is another - especially when we are losing - who barracks.
I don't listen to Adelaide radio but for someone who left 9 because of Eddie's 'conflict of interest' Tim Lane takes the cake.
Pro Carlton and doesn't hide it. He and Robert Walls must have soggy biscuit competitions when they call together. And when the Hawks play, he pushes his Tassie team agenda and takes it out on Hawthorn for playing there.
A complete and utter ________.

I don't actually mind Michael Christian and I never really heard much bias coming through from him.
Tim Gossage - never knew he was a Saints supporter till I read this thread but he always did seem biased to the wiggles to me. Bias aside though, just the sound of his voice (especially when he starts slappin it if anything even looks like happening) is like fingernails down a blackboard to me.
Just can't listen to it and would quite happily back my car over him.. well maybe my wife's car (wouldn't wanna damage mine).

Listened to Kanga's vs Hawks during the breaks (cannot stand listening to the radio at matches, takes away from the atmosphere) and all I could hear JB saying was "North, North, North, North, North, North, North, North, North, North, North, North, North, Simpson, North, North, North, North, North, North, North, spirit, North, North, North, North, North, North, North, North, Harvey, North, North, North, North, North, North, North, North, North, North........" you get my drift.
He isnt much better on the footy show. If the topic is on anyone other then the NMKFC he will either look utterly frustrated, look like he is going to cry, or change the topic to the NMKFC.
Whilst eddie would occasionally try to get onto the topic of the Pies, he would always be prepared to Talk about other sides and/or players. Also, he actually knows what he is talking about with footy unlike the EX-CRICKETER in James Brayshaw.
