Hmm your thoughts are the same as mine.. if he were to cement a spot he will have to kick acouple of bags in a row.. i love G and overall yes he is in our best 22..and if gardy and kingy dont play V PA he is a shoe-in IMO

True, he wil need a couple of bags.. But will the tripple towers really work for us? i would rather bring Rix into the ruck rather than not having kosi in the foward line

The Train may get a reprieve if Gardiner and King cannot front up.
Kosi may have to go into the ruck and Big Frase may get his gig back.

Send G to the square..tell him to lead and lead and lead then kick straight, tell the midfielders to hit him on his chest. Why is a dual Coleman medalist not in our best 22 players ? Let Kosi rome around in our forward half of the ground and tell him to stay out of frasers way. The only reason this plan i have just explained isn't working is because fraser looks really unfit. Ive said it on another thread and i will repeat, fraser is valuable. If you saw the geelong game you would of seen him kick a piss easy goal from 45 on the siren, why doesn't he lead and then we kick it to him.. because he looks buggered come quarter time:o
p.s Leave Roo at CHF and if he is in range, have a shot, if not give it to G or Koz !

I love the G (I think we all do, so it almost goes without saying now). But we just looked faster and more agressive with C Gardiner out there. I seriously think he'll give G another go, probably after the Port match. In the mean time, this could be Rix, or even Van Rheanan's chance. Kosi will ruck, but they'll always be wanting to float him back into the forward line when they can get the other lesser-light ruckman working. Heck, even Blake came in to ruck a little at the end, and he got, what, 4 hitouts? Not a bad effort.

As we were or are (not sure) ranked 16th in the comp for inside 50 tackles, i think unless the train is kicking atleast 4-5 goals a game we can not afford to play him and the form he is in i can not see him doing that.. Train will get another shot and i hope he comes out and kicks a huge bag, if not, the train will be casey bound

C Gardiner should (at least for the time being) keep his spot - he certainly deserves it after his effort and effect for the forward structure.
The injuries of our ruckmen, however, will probably force Koschitzke to play in the ruck (even if M Gardiner is fit again - who knows whether he'll last the game). Once King was out on Friday, we started to struggle (even though Blake can ruck - he can and will play almost anywhere - Michael Voss' criticism was certainly not addressed to him) both in the ruck or, with Riewoldt as the only tall option, in the forward line (we even saw one of Gram's silly bombs into a two or three on one contest again).
Man, do I hope that Gehrig ruyns into form again and kicks a bag against Port - that would leave Lyon with a selection problem he would certainly like to have !
the g train absolutely needs a spot, we know that he will kick a bag every few weeks, and when he doesnt, hes soaking up a key defender

G is soaking up the defender with a tissue, when he needs a car sponge.
Lake had 16 touches (13 marks) and Scarlett had 24!

Please Please don't put Rix in the team. He will win some of the clearances but the best we can hope for apart from that is for him not to handball it to the opposition. We cant afford someone who can "ONLY" ruck. Using Kosi to ruck and Gehrig forward is not ideal but it is a good compromise.

The whole Allen kicking 6 for Casey really puts the cat among the pigeons where Gehrig's concerned!
