If he plays like he is playing today each and every round, you may aswell chuck him the medal now.

He's shown that the umpire's love him and is a great poller.

That said, though, I doubt will win enough games for him to feature.

He's probably already got himself at least 5 votes imo - 3 today and 2 against Essendon. Maybe also picked up another one somewhere. He's just so consistent and gets votes in losing sides. Even at his current rate, he's looking at about 20-25 votes for the year; enough to win in a low-scoring year.

That said, I'm guessing Geelong will win at least 18 games this year, which means a lot of votes for their midfield to share. That'll mean Ablett or Bartel ends up with close to 30 votes, so I doubt Juddy will win.

Judd - Brownlow, Fev - Coleman, how good would that be!

I think we would have to get into the 8 for him to get serious votes in the later rounds.

I'm sure we've had votes be fore in a game we say just lost
if we don;t get Votes against Essendon then its Rigged :)
eg Collingwood could get say 1 vote last week

And fevla said on the footy show said he dosn;'t care if he dosn;t win the
Coleman aslong as Carlton keeps kicking the Goals

was that a good game for Judd today?

He can win it if he is consistantly getting 25+, 1-2 goals, 5-10 clearances etc.

Definately getting back to his best, that's for sure. Today was the first time I have seen him take on players and break their tackles. Slowly but surely getting back to the C.Judd we all know.

He was brilliant today, he's getting back to full fitness and we can all see the difference.

As HBF said, he's getting back to the brilliant Chris Judd that we all know. He was excellent today.

If we were to manage a sh*t load of wins, Judd might be in with a chance.

YES he can. If you guys can win 8-9 games and he features in most of them plus a few 1s & 2s in losses he will go close.

When he has it inside 50 the backs just shit themselves. If he doesn't kick it himself he slices things open with a handball a la Carlos today. He is starting to ignite the after-burners. I can't take the binoculars off him. And I'm basically hetero.

was that a good game for Judd today?

26 dis... 3-4 assist (3 to fevs)... 100% efficiency.... 5 tackles.... 3 goals...

i think clearly he was ordinary...

but to sum it up... there is still daylight between him and hodgey...

I must say he plays awesome! With the Eagles he was a protected species with the umpires. It seems that has carried over now that he is with us. I know he gets in position and wins the ball etc so will pick up frees but he does seem to get them when at other times the same things get left to play on
Glad he is with us then!

i bloddy hope so. ive got $50 each way on his from the star of the year. Kinda wished i had of waited untill round 3, but i got him at odds of $10 (Win) and $3.50 (place), so i cant complain.

Id think that he would have at least 5 vote so far this year at the least, so there is still some chance. Buddy and Abblet would be out in front ATM.

They interviewed him on abc radio after the match and he said "i feel like the fitness is really starting to ramp up". So he is only gonna get better! (if thats possible)

Juddy has been in my top 3 the last three weeks. after watching him closely against Richmond i thought he still had a long way to go with his body/fitness but a couple of weeks later he is turning it on. hes back to his best and that running goal through the centre today got me up out of my seat at home. loved it.

Also wanna add my respect for fev had dropped a bit last year and the first game this year but the last 3 games he has been magnificent. yes his goals are great but he is giving 2nd 3rd and 4th efforts tackling, shepharding and giving great handballs that set up goals. changed man and full respect for ya now big fella keep it up mate.

Carlton would have to win around 10 games which looks possible..

Good to see him back to his best..

Even though we lost, he'd be very stiff not to get 3 in the Bombers game.

Depends on Garry Ablett Jnr. who is fully fit and had 17 contested posi's and 5 assists with 3 goals like Juddy.

I'm happy for you guys. It's great to see such a class player returning to his best, especially after a change in club and a serious injury cloud. If Hirdy was a Rolls Royce then Juddy is an Austin Martin, all skill and speed to burn.

Is there anyone better to watch on a football field?? I didn't think I'd see any blues midfielder as good as Diesel but I think now Juddy is up there with him.

Can most certainly win the Brownlow this year. I still think his best form is ahead of him, and while Ablett is a fantastic player, Juddy's got him covered.

We've been waiting for him to run down the middle and bang one through from 50 and he did it today- brilliant.

That one had most of the Melbourne supporters reaching for their Range Rover keys. It was definitely easier after that moment to order a beer in the Bullring.

Would be interesting to see how many Juddy would kick if they left him in the forward line all year.

He can do anything, I never realised how good this guy is up until probably the Essendon game when he started to show a bit. He is amazing, he wins his own footy and is just as comfortable receiving it, his skill level is first class and his skill in front of goal is sublime, he runs like the wind and his decision making is flawless. It is an absolute pleasure to watch this guy play footy. He makes our team so much better it is not funny.

We all know he has some serious ability but you don't appreciate it until you see it first hand every week, scary thing is he reckons he'll back to his best in the second half of the year and even in patches today he looked like he wasn't going at 100%. If he performs consistently "better" than he did today as he believes he can then we are in for seriously special moments with this guy over the next few years.

Thats the most important thing. I dont think he will have any problems getting votes in games we lose as long as we dont have a number of 100 point blow outs. Plus I dont think we will have too many that consistently take votes away from him.

It will be interesting to see who gets the 3 on the weekend Fevola or Judd. I would personally go Judd 3 Fevola 2, but who knows.
