Just heard Wallace's press conference and his bleating never ends.
He went on about how the short break, the Bulldogs 2200 games experience to Richmond's 1700, about how the Bulldogs are four years ahead of Richmond and what he started with Giansiracusa, Murphy etc.
Give it a rest Wallace. Your side had it won and they lost it.

Taking credit for drafting a group of players he "couldn't take any further". Funny stuff.
Didn't he blame a long break or something two or three weeks ago?
Good work Terry.

I thought he raised some valid points. The only point I would make is that there is no good comparing the lists because by his own words when he left, he didn't think he could take the Bulldogs list any further.

You can call it bleating all you like , not a single tipster gave them a chance. They went in with a side full of kids. I don't see anything wrong in the statements. You are 4 years ahead, you were undefeated ontop of the ladder versus last years wooden spooners. Kids who don't know how to win versus men who do . It was a great game but It was the dogs game to lose and they showed what good sides do. I can understand you don't like wallace but what exactly did he say that wasn't true ?

Had Richmond won, you can bet your bottom dollar he would have been saying what a fantastic effort it was to beat a more experienced and fresh Bulldogs side.
Every side in the competition claims they are younger than everyone else, so it's got to the point where I don't listen anymore, because it's irrelevant. It's not age, it's quality that counts.

And those types of comments would have been a valid addition to games analysis. I had no problems with what he said.

Ummm didn't we finish last in 2003, and richmond last in 2004. From that point wouldn't you say they were only 1 year behind?

Not really. Richmond finished last that year because they thought they were in the premiership window and they played above themselves the year before, drafted the wrong players. Dog's finished last that the year before because they were rebuilding.

He didn't surely? Not after claiming the extended 10 day break cost his side victory in Round 2. So Suntan, which is it
Aaah. Terry Wallet. Did he say anything about one of his champions celebrating the draw??? hehehehehehe - still cacking myself at that sight. :D

I think he outcoached Eade today. Swung Richardson all around the place, stopped our run into fwd 50 with 'screen' of tigers waiting, and there tranition from Defence into attack was very good.

I thought Eade was outcoached. I would have liked him to shut down the chip chip chip game play of the tigers.
I thought he needed someone to match up on Richo who was drifting back to CHB most of the game to plug holes.....
A draw felt like a get out of jail card for me.....25 points down.....and to draw was a good result.....not the first time I have seen a Wallace coached team choke under pressure like that........

Yes, he said "If I see one more of my players celebrating the draw, I AM GOING TO SPEW UP"

I always compare Wallace to Clarkson as the two had crap lists. One took up the complete renovation and took the heavy hits from the media and fans .
One decided to go with minor renovations and is completely self absorbed.
Wallace has a much inferior list and he led his team to a draw. The guy can coach. He may look like a prune buthe can coach.

It was an imposter. Terry was at the 2020 summit in Canberra talking about Richmonds premiership window !

I have to agree with you. It does make you smile when you reflect on some of his media comments ovet the years.
We should start a list of them.
What was the one about the crunch game of the year .... remember the players signed the ball.
His best move was putting Joel Bowden where he rightfully belongs.

My post on the Richmond board in response to the thread "I admit - Terry can coach."
Re: I admit - Terry can coach.
Terry wallace press conference after the game: "yeah well ahh this was a vital 2 points for the richmond football club and it is exactly what we talked about during the week. We applied the Port adelaide 'choke' technique today and it got us the draw that we wanted. We are exactly where I planned us to be at the halfway mark of my 7 year plan"
Richmond fans after the press conference: "wasnt it a 5 year plan? we must've heard wrong. Gosh that terry is so smart, he knows whats best for this club and if 2 points is part of the premiership plan then we agree. I admit, Terry can coach!"
They hated it :D

When I saw the "laughing" reference to Brian and whether or not he was injured, and "I bet he plays next week", I immediately knew just how bitter this draw (read "defeat") was for Richmond. :)

The wallet has great aspirations for the club in 2011. Well that's how long he has extended his great plan out to.
