Back line was horrid, centre was honest at best. Welsh/Hill/Johnno had dirty days, a few goals down in the last few minutes. STILL we manage to find something to get us a draw.
How did we do it?

The shame of losing to richmond was enough motivation

Each week we are slowly getting worse. Our performances are steadly going backwards and next week is a real test. Westcoast have been rubbish and we need to tear them a new one.
West is back and Johno must be rested. Bring in Skipper as the new forward option.

Agree totally :thumbsu:
Also I want our midfielders to have a win next week against the Mighty Eagles midfield.

After the last two weeks, a big victory over the Eagles is a must.

The week after the Eagles is Sydney, up there. They play close-checking accountable football, which we don't. We'd better learn in a hurry, or come up with an game plan to deal with it.
Our skills are dropping off each week but importantly our heart and endeavour isn't. We are fighting to the end of the game like North has for years. Maybe we can be positive and say today and last week were the bottom of the barrel and we will pick up our level next week. Everyone goes trough during the year - I remember West Coast sneaking several scrappy wins in their premiership year in 2006.
Let's recognise our current weaknesses but appreciate our newfound spirit and willpower.

All week I have thought that it was good to have the supporters of another team not behaving like pathetic cave men and the general banter between the two clubs has been great!!!!
But I guess there is one in every crowd and I guess you are it!!!!
Incidently, if you would like to have a debate on shame maybe we should take in a bit of club history.
But I'm guessing you don't want to go there.

Good post:thumbsu:
I really like the fact that we are fighting to the end. Last year we would of lost that game by about 5 goals for sure, Richmond were getting away again late on but we kept at it. I'd have to say that fighting to the end has to be a positive.

Good Evening All,
We won the centre clearances 37 to 28. Unfortunately we butchered the ball by foot going forward; which allowed Richmond to kill us on the
rebound. Most of their goals came from their half back line.
We should have put them away by 1/2 time.
Today most players miss targets some only 20 to 30 meters away. However Callan & Addison (both hard at it) who have been good all year, are not great by foot.
Lets look forward; Games done & dusted. Rocket will have some ammo to use!
Cheers

I can't answer your question. Gave them away with 5 min to go. Oh me of little faith! We might have used all of our Get Out Of Jail Free Cards by now though.

Mate, I'm a long suffering 40 year old who knows our history and Richmonds only too well but most on this forum are only old enough to remember the last 25 years where 4 preliminary finals to one and 9 finals series to one our way seems more successful than you. Move back to the Richmond forum and talk about your glorious PAST with your own supporters and let us Dogs supporters discuss our PRESENT and FUTURE in peace. The odd comment about the Tigers in the comfort of our own home should be of no interest to you if you stay away. Go to the AFL board if you want to take us on.

BUT WHY??
At least you are better than the Blues board
I got red carded on there after round 1 just for starting a thread
Come to think of it at the time I deserved the red card but it was worth it.
In case you didn't read the start of the post I did say that the banter has been good I was only reacting to one poster who was as hard an the Doggies as he was on the Tigers.

Because on our own board I think we should be able to say whatever we like about other sides :) If you can't handle that than I think it would be best if you left :)
