View Full Version : Daniel Kerr or Paul Haselby?
HASELBY IS A FAT RECEIVER. YOU HAVE STATS TO PROVE HOW MANY HARD BALL GETS HE HAS? BE A MAN, AND ACCEPT WHAT HAPPENED ON SATURDAY. I KNOW IT HURT. **** HAPPENS. HASLEBY IS SOFT. SUCK **** THROUGH A STRAW.
ya just making yourself look even more silly now. since when was this about your grand final win? congrats on that. this is about you saying that hase is a receiver and me saying you obviously dont watch much footy to say that. go back to soccer, or basketball, or rugby or sipping lattes and chardonnays like all the other slime supporters

NICE GENERALISATIONS. ITS ALWAYS THE LAST RESORT FOR DOCKERS. "GO SIP ON YOUR CHARDONNAY, AND DRIVE YOUR 4WD BACK TO DALKEITH, YOU DONT KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT FOOTBALL". I THINK HASLEBY IS A RECEIVER. HE IS NOT EVEN IN GOOD SHAPE AT THE MOMENT. HE IS EATING TOO MANY CREAM CAKES. THATS MY OPINION. IF IT STINGS, GOOD, I DONT GIVE A RATS ARSE. IF I GOT MY PANTIES UP IN A BUNCH EVERYTIME SOMEONE BAGGED THE EAGLES ID BE TYPING ALL DAY. GO KISS YOUR PHOTO OF HASLEBY AND HAVE A TOSS.:thumbsu:

IM GLAD. YOU HAVE CRIED ENOUGH.
Give Kerr OP and reopen the thread after Hasleby's best year.
I'd like to see Kerr thrown into a midfield without Judd or Cousins. How would he cope with the number 1 or even number 2 tagger. Just got a feeling he's a tad overrated.
Please explain to me what kerr has over haselby other than pace?
I mean haselby is better mark, kick, handball in and under player, better football brain.
Who in there right mind would take Kerr over haselby now or potential wise.
ouch

I rekon kerr would cope better with the number 1 or number 2 tagger then what haselby would.

when fully fit hase is better. eagles fans just hate him now since he won the derby for us, even when he could barely run due to injury

Nor was football for the vast majority of West Coast "supporters".

A fit Hase and a fit Kerr - I'd put them on a par. Both great midfielders.
If people are going to poke fun at Freo, there are surely better avenues than a Rising Star winner (I think), All Australian, who has sadly been stricken by OP. The guy is a champion.

Kerr has so many "runs on board" now that it would take Haselby a couple of years of top 3 brownlow form to be on par
His body shape when injured BTW is probably holding him back both form and fitness wise. Like Sampi, He really does need to take a good look at himself professionalism wise when recovering and coping with injuries or he may struggle to realise his potential

Kerr easily.... he has the natural talent and the shrug of the shoulders is great.

You would compare Hase to Sampi??? That is so laughable I can hardly believe I am actually responding...
This thread was started in 2002, when Hase was clearly the better player. He was a recent winner of the Rising Star (2000). In 2003, Hase was clearly the better player (still), as evidenced by his AA selection. Early 2004, Hase was the Brownlow favourite (remember the Channel 7 poll - Who is WA's best footballer - Chris Judd or Paul Hasleby? Laughable now, but that's how it was then....).
Sadly for him, in the second half of 2004 was when Hase's "mystery injuries" began - first it was his back, then his groin, then some abdomenal thing, finally they've said it's OP. Through that he's managed to add another 50 games to his tally, but unfortunately nowhere near the quality of the 50 before that. He's played through excruciating pain but has not been able to have the same impact as he did. His professionalism shouldn't be questioned. His preparation and attention to detail is apparently exemplary, and to compare him to sampi is an insult.
However, there's no question that Kerr has now overtaken him. No question at all that the 2006 version of Kerr is better than the 2006 version of Hasleby. In 2005/2006 Kerr > Hasleby. However when this poll was started in 2002 (and in 2003) Hasleby > Kerr.
Perhaps if he can get himself right for 2007, and get back to his AA best, you'll see that Hase is a top quality player. He's still only 25 and when fit, has about the best pair of hands in close of anyone in the game. People on BF have such short memories... :(

kerr>>>>haselby, kerr has way better skills and is much more dangerous, he carries the ball over the lines, much more attractive brand of football to watch, i dont even put haselby in kerrs league, all you freo supporters are over rating him
Wow, the ammount of people posting here today not realising this thread is 3 years old is astounding.

I was referring to Sampi in regards to retaining conditioning when injured if you had read my post correctly
As per below

Not a bad assesment of Haselby BTW ;)
Even is Hase gets back to his best, he will still be a long way behind Kerr.

How is he fat?
182cm, 86kg.
Solid, but not fat. Same size as the now retired champion Michael Voss.

Nope... Kerr is a special player. Everyone can see it. Haselby even in his prime was just a very good player. Kerr has that next level which takes him up to the Judd, Cousins, Voss, Buckley etc level. Kerr has that ability and we will see it in the next few years. Ill be shocked if Kerr doesnt win a brownlow.
Hase used to be good though.

It Sucks ass when threads like this just turn into war between dockers and eagles... I respect Dockers who admit kerr is better and eagles that admit hase is better.

Kerr is better, but I can't wait for Hase to be back fully fit because he's a damn classy player when not injured (and he's had a terrible run with injury)..

Well he's been without Cousins this year, tagged heavily, and one of the favourites for the brownlow. Gun.
I like Haze though, unfortunatley the injuries he has had have been preventing him from playing much footy.

Kerr is better in and under, tackler, in field kicker, handballer, evasiveness and pace, as well as speccies.
Haselby is better overhead mark and goal kicker. He is no slouch but kerr has a special element that all the best have while i can't see it in haselby yet.

Funny how all these threads pop-up, and people get wrecked in the process. Much the same happening in other threads at the moment involving Gibbs, Murphy, Pendlebury, Davey, Franklin, Cloke etc.
