People constantly pay out on his kicking - commentators are often the offenders. I think wallace had it right in the interview when he said will usually kicks them

His career tally is 19.11 which is 63.33%. fevola, by comparison, kicks at a tick under 60% for his career.. Even though he's kicked 400 more goals than big minno, i think it shows that him being a bad kick is a myth.

And again, Gilbee, who everyone wished at the time would take the kick has shot 68.38 for his career.. that being just over 64%..

Schwartz might not be as bad as a number of morons here had stated.

Considering that we have no bench mark to go by before Schwartz I find this statement ridiculous.

You don't get it. This is Big Wills first year at FF. Before that I would be surprised if he had more than three shots at goal in his career at the Dogs. If he improves over the next two years Swartz can lay claim to an improvement but I think he was probably always a reasonable kick for goal.

Sorry, I thought you were talking generally about goal kicking coaches. IIRC our goal kicking was dreadful under BT. Even before Schwartz came along, I've been quite happy with the ball in Minnow's hands. As for Welsh. He just needs his radar on. All his kicks went dead straight, just his aim was out.

Minson is going to be taking a lot of shots from close to goal, whereas Fevola often leads out to the 50m arc.

I watched Wilbur take three practice shots in a row before the game from 40m out and he muffed each one, and I thought 'oh dear'.

Still, credit where it is due, he nailed the one that counted.

Good on Will for getting it right, it looks a little funny but he is as good a shot for goal as anyone in the team right now. He's getting his hands to the ball more and more each game, if he could just hold a few more of those marks he would have kicked a bag by now.

Was hoping for 15-20 goals from Will this season, he really could kick on and kick 35-40 with his improved kicking.

He seems to move his arms quite a lot when he moves in for a kick. I wonder if that can be or needs to be corrected. Otherwise he is vastly improved.

Let me spell it out for you, go watch tapes of Will lining for goal in previous seasons and compare it to today. Yes we all know this is his first yr playing at Full forward however he has had set shots for goal in previous years when Schwartz was not at the club.
Or do you think it is coincidence that his kicking for goal has improved since Schwartz has come to the club?

and Gilbee usually shoots from 55m out on the run.
