1.Lance Franklin
2. Matthew Lloyd
3.Jonothan Brown
4. Brendon Fevola
5.Matthew Richardson
no particular order
Depends from where abouts..
But Fraser Gehrig would be up there surely?
franklin due to the fact he lifts for the occasion. other players there may be better kicks overall but franklin is a deadset big game player.

Anyone else remember last year? Lions faced Sydney, Jonathan Brown fifty something meter kick from close to the boundary, siren goes.
Flogs it, straight through the middle, it's a draw.
I can also remember Fevola doing that from the sideline many years ago.
Brown for me.

21 Apr 2008, 14:16
The way Fevola is kicking at the moment, i'd take him in a heartbeat. From my club, a fully fit Lucas is the man now, Lloyds accuracy hasn't been the same since he did his Hamstring.

Brown out of those people. You could also have Ling in there.

Out of the above Franklin
As a Richmond supporter, I would rather Browny take the shot then Richo.
Fev, fantastic shot on goal.

Brown for me.
^For me it was between Brown and Franklin, with Fev just behind.
Brown did do that last year, but Franklin also did it, in a final, to win the match. Brown had the chance to help Brisbane get back in the game against port the other week and shanked one or two kicks. Bradshaw lifted to the occasion better in this recent game.
Franklin's accuracy can be improved, although already it is quite good (has had a couple of poor matches), but as mentioned already, he is a big game player, and often i have seen him name shots straight through the sticks from 50+ out.
Fev does have a nice kick on him, but he's not as consistent as the above two, so if he's had a poor game i wouldn't be as confident with him.
edit: i chose buddy

probably fev but buddy would make it so much more exciting because of the unpredictability

Of those options, probably Lloyd or Fev.
I think Paul Chapman and Mathew Stokes are worthy of being included in this poll as well. Actually Cameron Ling is a dead-eye as well.

i agree, i feel so confident when he has the ball in his hand from anywhere.
Gotta be joking on Richo - great player but ordinary converter. Franklin if it is on a ridiculous angle but from that list I'd go Fev for consistency and variety of angles he's good from ( and apparently Will Minson after Sunday)

Apparently that pocket is the hardest to kick from, either from AAMI or any other ground. Or at least, what some Adelaide supporters claimed.
Right at the moment, he's deadly accurate - I think he's only had, what, 6 behinds so far this year? So 26.6, and three of those behinds were posters! Or was it four? So at the moment, the big Fev!
Franklin is great too, but he does miss a lot of shots.

Fevola. He's a beautiful kick for goal especially from outside 50.
Over their whole career Lloyd has been easily the most accurate. Last year it was Brown marginally ahead of Lucas and Lloyd. Fev and Franklin not even in the race.
The only reason Essendon supporters have noticed Lloyd miss a few lately is because he does it so rarely.

Richo is kicking pretty well this year, a lot better than buddy anyway.
Mine too. Fantastic kick for goal.
bahahahahahahaha yeh inside 35 and snapping maybe.
Jack Riewoldt
yeh real funny, he was 55-60 out after a big game and is still developing, give the kid a break.
if there is one player you wouldn't having kicking for goal, it would be MOORE!!!!!!!
Brown or Fev.
Buddy is the most overated kick in the comp, he can kick great goals, but he's not consistant enough. The only thing going for him is that he goes well under pressure.
For the tiges i'd go with Lids or mayb even Simmo.
For the whole comp, Ling, Gilbey, Fev, Brown, Bradshaw, Aka.

24.12 for the year, compared to Buddy's???? 55% at best
cameron ling would not miss gaurenteed
absolutely anything from 40 or closer the ball would go sailing through the middle, probably cause theres no pressure on him to kick it cause he already cops enough abuse about his looks

Fevola. He's a beautiful kick for goal especially from outside 50.
Interesting.
Fevola is clear 1st, while Richo is clear last in the poll.
Both have similar goal kicking accuracy of 59 and 60% respectively.

Yes that's why I voted brown.. Id also love shannon grant from 50 or cam ling an even ablett junior.. Richio I love as a player has been fantastic but his chances of spraying it are very high.. Franklin is like a richio SOMETIMES what's his total goals an behinds telly anyway? An I think llyod should be in there although id take brown over anyone in the comp 9/10 he'd split the middle
adamania11
27 May 2008, 22:14
I'd like Richo, but only against a good team that we shouldn't normally be within a kick of in the first place, because it means that Richmond have put up a bloody good effort to get that close in the first place.
If it was a match the team I was supporting was expected to win: i.e. against Essendon, Freo, Melbourne, etc. I would want Fevola out of all of those guys kicking to win the match
LOL
People voting Fevola, or anyone for that matter, ahead of Lloyd.:D:D:D
All 4 are renowned for their poor accuracy.
Meanwhile Lloyd shows why he is clearly the best shot for goal for a key forward YET AGAIN.
Lloyd - 74.2%
*daylight*
Fevola - 64.9%
Richardson - 64.3%
Brown - 64.3%
Franklin - 57.7%

All you fools who voted Franklin are deluded. He is a terrible set shot for goal. His routine is a hit or miss lucky dip. That stupid late swerve means that he has to hit the ball as it is moving in the wrong direction which leaves such a high percentage risk. Hence why he often spews out those wobbly helicopters. For me it is Lloyd just ahead of Fevola.
always right
