It seems we've forgotten the Blockbuster next week v the Pies!
Definate game of the round and potential game of the year.
Is it better for us if the Pies win or lose this week on Anzac day??
Just can't wait for this one and what's even better is that we get to play them again after we play Geelong.

I hate to say it but i'm hoping the Pies have a good win over the scum on Fri as would like the to be at full strength when we play them.
The games we played against Brisse and North have been the best for me so far this year and both those teams played to their capabilities.
Was much morse satisfyinh when the Hawks took home the points.
On the other hand wouldn't be to disapointed if the Pies cop a creaming from the scum:p

I seriously doubt that they will go 3 losses in a row, but if they lose this week i'd assume they'd be more desperate and breathing fire vs us.
I think a win for them this week will be better for us come rd 7.

I think you're jumping ahead too far. I think Hawthorn needs to worry about Richmond first. This is exactly the sort of game we have been prone to losing, hence it is actually a bigger test than Collingwood (although that will be a good game). Because we should win this game if we are to be considered elite, elite teams don't lose these sort of games.

Don't get me wrong, i completely agree. I'd be worried if the team was thinking ahead to rd 7!
My point is that it's a Blockbuster in the waiting that nobdy seems to recognize due to all the Hawks v Cats hype and i was asking how their performance this weeks effects us for the game.
I just hate Collingwood GOD DAMN IT!.......:o

Am I the only one annoyed at the fact that the game is on a Saturday, despite the fact that we play on the Sunday and Collingwood play on Anzac Day (Friday) the week before? ...

It is even Phil , we have a light run this sunday .. we will be fresh for next week.
I dont like to look to far ahead, the old cliche one week at a time ..

I hate Collingwood too. I don't rate them either (oh that should entice some trolls, shouldn't it?).
I will give them this credit though, they tend to play well in second half of season, so in a way it would be a better game in round 18 or something like that. Should still be a test for the boys and I don't think it matters if Collingwood wins or loses. Though if they lose, it would be great to inflict a fourth straight loss on them.

No, that's why they're called Essenscum.

I am actually coming down from Brissie to see this game, I have to go to a course in Sydney and asked work to send me to Melbourne after it instead of Brisbane and they said yes.
It will be my first game at the MCG and first time since I was about 6 seeing a hawks game in Melbourne - Can't wait!!!
