BigFooty Basics: How the hell do I post youtube and photos and stuff:

Heya!

I was wondering if we could make this a thread for simps like me who still don't know how to post youtube vids or photos...a one stop thread for all this malarkey, if you will.

So, how do you post videos and pictures? I've got no idea.

Been itching to participate in the music thread but never knew how.

The youtube button is here in the form. Next to the hash button. Just take the last bit of url and paste in the youtube code.


Example this one : WVQZeWoWVng post that bit in between


For the pictures its the yellow button on the form. Get the link and paste

Not working! When you say the last few numbers, do you mean after the youtube.com/ part of the address or what?

Consider this url http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9rjbcvNCO4o

The youtube code is everything east of the equals sign, ie

9rjbcvNCO4o

Then wrap it in a youtube bracket

The Duck Fan is the man for this kind of stuff he posted a step by step guide for us luddites a while back I printed it off and still refer to it every time I want to post a video or photo.

Stupid thing


Pretty easy actually.



For a picture , right click the image, go to properties and grab the url.

Eg. http://www.gspimages.com.au/images/thumbs/main/136638.jpg


then click the yellow button with the mountains on it and you'll get a form. It will have http:// already.

Remove that and paste the link then press ok.
