View Full Version : Who do they tag? Hodge Mitch or Sewell?
At the moment the opposition trend seems to be to tag Hodge. Last season they seemed to tag Mitch a bit more.
IMO the team suffers less when Hodge is tagged. Hodge will still find a way to rack up 15-20 Touches and even though that is low for his standards his disposal is always damaging and he will usually end up with a goal or 2. This season since Hodge has been tagged Mitch and especially Sewell have taken them to the cleaners. I think it wont be long until Sewell is being hard tagged instead of the other 2
Who do you guys think is in the oppositions best interest to tag. From what i have seen Hodge deals with a tag a bit better then Mitch does. Even if one is nullified we still have Crawford and Lewis amonsgt it. Damn good engine we have dont we.
Tag all three. And Young Clinton. And Laddo. And the goo. Hell, may as well tag Birch while they're at it.

Won't tag Sewell. Might tag Hodge or Mitchell. Probably Tuck or Chris Hyde will get the role as Kane Johnson has been much better now that he isn't playing as a tagger anymore

1. Hodge to damaging by foot to allow him to have it 25-30 times.
2. Mitchell will just Kill you at stoppage situations
Sewell is a star but you can't tag him because you can' afford to tag 3 midfielders and he is not as Damaging ag Hodgey and Mitchell.

i kinda think that hodgey finds it hard to shake a proper tag, maybe the job rawlings did on him in the finals is still in my mind. from memory he didn't have to deal with the oppositions no.1 tagger until probably last year.
the opposition seem to have started to tag him more this year which may have contributed to his quiet start to the year. hodge doesn't have the luxury of a crawford where he can run a tag off, he needs to use his versatility and strength a bit more, which can be done by switching positions i guess.
having said that, if you could only tag 1 of them i would tag hodge when he is in the midfield above the other 2 for reasons said above he is more damaging by foot.

Tag Sewell LOL, tag a tagger, maybe get Brady Rawlings to tag himself!!! I definitely don't reckon Sewell will get tagged probably Mitchell or Hodge!

Tag Sewell I reckon. He isn't a tagger any more and has probably been our number 1 mid this season.
